It was exceptionally clean, the room was fantastic and the breakfast very good.

Excellent location, nice outdoor environment, friendly staff
Room ferniture and acessories need face lift already, new owner should be focused on that. Anemnities to bathroom could upgraded too. Selection of pillows could be offered, current ones could be hard for somebody.

wow. its worth the money. we were on our last night after a week of work with our NGO and a few days ptrekking in Volcanoes national park and to be treated so beautifully
i liked everything.
First off, The Retreat is incredibly overpriced. Border line rip off.
The food is below average and so expensive - not worth it at all. At the prices being charged for accommodation, it should be full board - to pay such exorbitant prices for lunch and dinner is a real cheek.
The actual accommodation was very decent, the pool area is really nice and so is the gym and yoga studio.
Overall it wasn't a bad stay but we would not return purely based on price and quality of food.
