Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Upon arrival, the staff proactively came to assist with our luggage, and the check-in process was smooth and well-handled. The staff member who looked after us during our stay was particularly friendly and attentive, which made a positive difference to our experience.

The location is excellent, and having a private onsen is a definite highlight. Our outdoor private bath had a beautiful view, making it a very relaxing and memorable experience. We also enjoyed wearing the hotel’s yukata to dinner, which added a fun and authentic touch to the stay.

The food was decent, though not particularly outstanding. That said, the kaiseki dining experience itself was still interesting to try. The children’s meal was more Western-style, which worked well for our family.

Cons:

One area that could be improved is the check-out experience. When we handed our key to a staff member, there was no guidance on the next steps, which felt slightly inconsistent with the level of service expected from a high-end property.

Amazing stay!!
Pros:

A beautifully romantic escape in the Japanese countryside
Pros:

We booked this as a treat post-Tokyo Marathon & anniversary and it did not disappoint! From the food, to the service, to the rooms, it was perfect from start to finish. Get the full board option, it's worth it! And the free drink and sweets bar to round off the night is an excellent touch. Amazing amazing amazing.

Pros:

Cozy small hotel with a minimalistic and luxurious experience.

Cons:

No lunch in the premise. My daughter didn't like the food and surprisingly chef could not substitute any dish from the set menu to delight her. One dish which we were looking for was missing from the set menu and later staff told we got a wrong menu by mistake.

Pros:

Gorgeous views and great meals. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

Cons:

Water in both baths not that warm. You have to ask staff to add more hot water in the room bath.

Cons:

Location was convenient in Gora but traveling from Tokyo to the Yume station, did take awhile which is beyond the control of the property. However will need to account for travel time.
