Of the options near the domestic terminal, the Mantra is probably the best of a questionable bunch. It's decent value for money, and it's not THAT far if you want to walk to it. The view from the rooms on the airport side is better than the other options in that area. (The Rydges at the International Terminal is by far the best... but it's expensive and a long way away if you're flying domestically.) It's great that the Mantra has king size beds seemingly as standard. I won't book anywhere without king size if I'm travelling with my husband. The bathrooms are great.
I was disappointed with the size of the rooms (they're smaller than other options). The fridge is absolutely tiny. Can hardly even get a bottle of wine into it. There are literally no preparation surfaces / benchtops in the room... nowhere to even put the kettle while you use it except on a ledge in front of the television. I was very disappointed that there is no room service. You can order from the restaurant but you have to go down and collect it... in cardboard boxes... and it's a bit soggy.

Short flat walk from the domestic airport, though a shuttle was available also. Having the restaurant and bar there meant I could arrive early have lunch then go into my room. Everything was simple, clean and well designed.
It was a little noisy from street traffic however being at the airport it was understandable. My suggestion is thicker glazing!

I liked that the hotel was conveniently located near Terminal 2 of the airport. The room was perfect for a solo traveller, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and well-maintained, so overall, I had a good stay.
The only thing I didn’t like was that complimentary toiletries, such as a toothbrush and toothpaste, were not provided. However, having three types of towels was a nice touch. Overall, the room and hotel were lovely, clean, and very comfortable. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer!
