Cons:

They gave me an occupied room at check in, I went into someone else's room, very embarrassing. They didn't offer any upgrade or even free parking to make up for it.

Deadwood - Franklin Hotel
Pros:

Historic hotel from 1901 with a modern remodel one year ago ..

Cons:

Hotel restaurant was too popular and busy to actually get a seat. Had to eat elsewhere!

Pros:

It was right in the middle of all the Deadwood action and could walk around. The lady who checked us out was very kind and considerate.

Cons:

There was no parking for blocks so we parked in a parking ramp a couple blocks away. The lady who checked us in was rude. The elevator was extremely slow and our room had no working A/C.
It was 80° in our room and the window barely opened cause there were no screens on the windows.

Comfortable and pretty nice for the price.
Pros:

Room was newer and handsome which is nice. Stairway and hotel interior is beautiful. Bed very comfortable.

Cons:

Lack of 2nd towel hook in bathroom. Lack of grab bar or shower foot rest. Popcorn on floor when we arrived and missing a faucet aerator, which Jason the janitor fixed. He was great! No chair. Worst part - hostess at the restaurant was off-putting and confusing about how to dine at the restaurant. She literally never cracked a smile and made us feel unwelcome. How are some people able to make reservations and we, as guests, cannot? Why are we hustled to stand in a line to beg for a spot that we can’t even choose-catch as catch can? We ate elsewhere.

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location friendly atmosphere

Location was fantastic! Very comfortable and was absolutely perfect. We loved the character and history of it
