We will be back to deadwood unfortunately I don’t know that we can afford the Franklin again
Pros:

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay. There was so much to do in Deadwood and the Franklin was easy to navigate from. We enjoyed the fact that we did have free parking and that there was such history in the hotel. The staff was helpful at any time and our room was clean and tidy.

I really wish there were more up-to-date, keno machines

Awesome, as usual!!
Pros:

The staff was super friendly except the male bartender, he didnt have much personality.
The updated room was very nice. I love the modern look.
Outside, what happened to the big rockers.

Cons:

I was told I could not get a chef salad to go so I could take it to my room.

Pros:

These beds are so soft and comfortable, I snoozed my alarms several times. The hotel is across from a little stage area where they do concerts and reenactments and even yoga this summer. Everything is in walking distance and there was always something happening during my stay. The hotel is beautiful and old, lovingly taken care of. The parking is about a block away, you can request a shuttle or golf cart though. The TV is the room is the biggest I've ever had in a hotel room. There was very little noise during my stay other than standard hotel noise, but my stay was during the week not the weekend. The room had a fridge and small microwave.

Cons:

Lack of freezer in mini fridge.

Pros:

Beautiful original building that has been upgraded to 2026 standards. The staff were incredibly helpful and the legends restaurant in the basement of all places was delicious.

Cons:

There wasn’t anything to like, however it would have been nice to have bathrobes in the room.
