Mini break
Pros:

Our first time visiting Portland and we had a lovely time. So happy we were able to stay at The Francis Hotel. Great location easy walk into town. The staff very friendly and helpful. Great restaurant right next door called the Wayside. We are looking forward to planning our next visit. Highly recommend.

Undoubtedly Best Stay In Portland!
Pros:

This is our 4th stay at the Francis and each time our experience is amazing. The hotel is cozy and welcoming. We tried Wayside, their restaurant for the first time and it was fantastic. Will always stay here for our Portland trips!

Historic hotel with a fantastic staff
Pros:

A lovely historic hotel in a good location with fantastic staff. This was my home base while I was on a business trip, and I really enjoyed coming back to a beautiful space and relaxing in front of the fire with my book to decompress. The staff was friendly and welcoming and there coffee and tea in the morning and hot cider in the evenings. Room was comfortable with a nice chair where I could sit and get ready for my meetings in the morning. I'm considering coming back here to "work from hotel" in the winter months when I need a change of scenery

Great time at the Francis
Pros:

We come to Portland often but this was our first time staying at the Francis. The price was great and service was very attentive. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that breakfast is included and it is delivered to your room. On our second morning there was a miscommunication with us getting our order placed and they gave us vouchers for breakfast at the cafe across the street. Overall it was a great time and we will definitely stay here again.

The Francis was perfect for our weekend in Portland. The hotel is clean, spacious yet vintage!! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast sandwiches were an unexpected treat too!

A Home Away from Home
Pros:

This was my second time staying at The Francis. I love the location and that Tandem Coffee and Twinflower Cafe are right across the street. The staff was very nice and my room was very clean and comfortable. Nice strong coffee in the mornings and breakfast delivered to my door. It was a wonderful stay, especially for the price. I will be back.

Amazing hotel!
Pros:

This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Francis. Each room has been unique, stunning, and spotless. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and the location is perfect—easy to access from the highway, but a quick walk to the heart of downtown. It’s a true gem!

Great value for a great location and unique room
Pros:

The location was amazing because we were going out for dinner and to a show at the state theater. The employees that we worked with were super helpful and pleasant. Loved having on site parking!

Cons:

The yogurt parfait, while much appreciated, was gross. I had really been looking forward to the coupon for breakfast at tandem

It’s a nice hotel in a convenient location, ask to stay on the upper floors.
Pros:

It was right in the Deering Historic district. Restaurants were right there.

Cons:

I thought the rooms 001-004 on the bottom floor felt a little like too far away from the rest of the hotel and like *kinda* sketchy with a door to the outside there.
