Excellent and charming location, nice comfy rooms with balcony overlooking the lake. Friendly staff, breakfast was OK. Very quiet as well, as the main traffic goes through a tunnel and not through the village.

Cons:

Maybe some additional shelves in the bathroom would help. But it's really not a big point.

Italienische Impressionen perfekt präsentiert.
Pros:

Wunderbarer Blick, Restaurant aussen einfach toll, leicht zu erreichen und eine super Italienische Erfahrung. Wir waren eine 12 Personen Gruppe und haben leider durch zeitlich ausgedehnte Ankunft die falschen Zimmer erhalten, grosses Zimmer für eine Person, kleines Zimmer für Familie mit Kind. Also aufpassen bei der Zimmerwahl, aber alles sonst richtig toll. Essen war herrlich, die Einrichtung ... zum Wohlfühlen.

Gourgeous hotel and setting!
Pros:

Gorgeous location, spectacular view from the room. Staff was nice, restaurant was great, food was lovely. The room was very big and spacious. Wish we could have spent more time there!

Incredible hotel with breathtaking views
Pros:

Hotel Stella D’Italia is situated on Lake Lugano, and every room on the property had a lake view. We stayed in room 133 and the view we had was absolutely stunning, an incredible view of the mountains and lakes, plus a glimpse of the Alps too. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and whilst we attempted to speak some Italian, they could understand and talk English very well so were able to help us with directions to certain places etc. The hotel has a small deck with sun loungers that lead onto the lake so being able just to relax at times in the sun was so lovely.

Cons:

The rooms can get a little stuffy during the night, so we were opening the doors a lot. The location was ‘ok’. In a very small local village and transport links aren’t great. There is a bus that can take you into either Lugano (20mins approx) or Porlezza (10mins approx) and Menaggio (30mins approx) but the bus only comes every 2-2.5hrs.

La camera era direttamente sul lago! Bellissimo il ristorante alla'aperto sotto la pergola di rosa. Accesso diretto al lago per fare il bagno. Vista molto bella e terrazzino sul lago una meraviglia! Camere silenziose e letto comodo. Belle le aree comuni per potersi rilassare a leggere o giocare a carte. Camera pulita essenziale, ma con tutto ciò di cui c'è bisogno. Bagno nuovo e ho apprezzato moltissimo i prodotti solidi per lavarsi capelli e corpo. Veramente un posto incantevole

Vue magnifique et excellent séjour dans cet hôtel calé
Pros:

Vue exceptionnelle dans cet hôtel un poil rétro mais avec beaucoup de charme. Le cadre au bord du lac est vraiment magnifique avec une belle tonnelle et d’agréables tables en terrasse. On a passé un excellent séjour et très bien dîné en terrasse dans le restaurant qui appartient à une autre gérance.
Dommage que je n’ai pas pris mon maillot de bain il y a un ponton avec transat et échelle pour se baigner 😊

bon séjour malgré un temps capricieux qui nous a empêché de vraiment profiter de notre halte

réveillé dans la nuit par un bruit tel un sifflement permanent dont on a cherché l'origine pendant plus d'un quart d'heure. Nous sommes descendus voir la veilleuse de nuit pour lui faire part du souci car il nous semblait que le bruit venait de la chambre voisine non occupée.
La veilleuse de nuit a ouvert cette chambre et a pu confirmer que le problème venait de la ventilation de cette chambre mitoyenne à la notre et à arrêté le process.
La réactivité de la veilleuse a été bonne et nous l'en remercions quitte pour nous à avoir perdu une bonne heure de sommeil.
