Pros:

La cour extérieur avec la piscine est très belle et bien entretenue. La chambre lit double au 2e étage était "correct" (rénové avec une finition peu soigné). La proximité de la plage et endroit bien sécurisé. Vagues idéales pour le surf.

Cons:

Très écho au 2e étage, je dors avec des bouchons et malgré cela, je me réveillais souvent à cause du bruits. Surtout que 2 chiens jappaient sans arrêt dans une chambre voisine. D'ailleurs, ses 2 chiens ont jappés toute la journée sur le bord de la piscine sans aucune intervention du personnel. Plusieurs autres chiens étaient présents sans incommoder personne. De faire payer 2$ us pour traverser vers tamarindo via la plage est tant qu'à moi du vol.

Lovely stay right on playa grande with fantastic staff
Pros:

We love staying at el manglar. We love playa grande fo how quiet the beach is. The staff is always so nice. We also enjoy the Canterana Cafe. We will be back.

Manglar was peaceful but our stay left some things desired.

Quiet, peaceful, grounds were well-maintained

Cons:

Our room was tucked away in the back (# 5) and we didn’t have WiFi for part of our stay. Not a terrible thing but wish it wasn’t the case. We also asked twice to have our room cleaned—even took a road trip for the day, only to come back to unfinished room. That was slightly disappointing.

Also, the noise from the unit upstairs was too much every morning! We could hear every thud and stomp—it sounded like furniture being thrown around. No need for an alarm clock!

We ran into a guest who stays every year and he said he and his wife specifically request NOT to stay in Room # 5. We will keep that in mind if we return.

Pros:

Die Lage war toll und das Zimmer mit Terrasse im Hotel Canterana ebenfalls. Unser zweites Zimmer im Hotel El Manglar war deutlich einfacher und ohne Balkon oder Terrasse. Sauber waren beide Zimmer. Die Pools waren eher klein, aber schön angelegt.

Cons:

Am Strand Playa Grande gab es kaum Schatten durch Bäume oder Palmen, so dass man sich Sonnenschutz und Liegen entweder teuer mieten (30 USD für 3 Stunden) oder die kostenlosen Liegen am Pool nutzen musste.

Pros:

Superfreundliches Personal, tolle Lage mit ein paar Schritten zum Strand, sehr schöne geräumige Villa mit Küchenausstattung (die aber auch von ziemlich vielen Ameisen bevölkert war, aber das passiert in solchen Ländern eben mal). Toll fanden wir auch das System ohne Schlüssel, sondern mit Code, so kann man nichts verlieren :) Uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen. Liegt in einer "gesicherten" Comunity und etwas abseits, es gibt ein paar Lokale und einen kleinen winzigen Supermarkt. Ein Auto ist schon empfehlenswert, Parken direkt vor dem Hotel möglich

Schöne Anlage mit Gemeinschaftsküche, aber dunkles kleines Zimmer.
Pros:

Schöne Anlage, nah am Meer, Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Die Gemeinschaftsküche fanden wir super und haben sie auch genutzt.

Die Sport Area war ebenfalls super und stand zur freien Verfügung.

An unserem Anreisetag hat das WLAN nur an der Rezeption funktioniert, das wurde dann allerdings am 2. Tag repariert und hat seitdem überall gut funktioniert.

Cons:

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einem nur sehr kleinen Fenster, es war somit ziemlich dunkel und insgesamt eher ungemütlich. Wir hatten allerdings auch die günstigste Zimmerkategorie, vermutlich sind die Zimmer unten besser, aber auch teurer.
Aus dem Badezimmer kam abends ein übler Gestank, vermutlich aus der Dusche. Insgesamt war das Bad eher beengt.

Während unseres Aufenthalts fand ein Surf Retreat im Hotel statt, dadurch war man nachmittags am Pool quasi Teil der Nachbesprechungen. An Entspannung war damit nicht zu denken.

Man sollte wissen, dass in dem kleinen Ort „Palm Beach Estates“ nicht viel ist und somit auch an Restaurants keine große Auswahl besteht. Das Hoteleigene Bistro haben wir nicht ausprobiert.

Insgesamt haben wir uns eher unwohl gefühlt und würden das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Sehr gute Lage . Super freundliches Personal . Nicht überfüllt . Toller Strand

Cons:

Auf keinen Fall das Doppelzimmer #5 nehmen . Vorher klären . Liegt direkt unter Bar . Sehr laut - Mittagsschlaf nicht möglich . Ruhe von 10pm bis 6.30, dann geht das Tischerücken wieder los

Reizvoller Aufenthalt in Tamarindo
Pros:

toller Sandstrand im Pazifik 5 min entfernt, sehr schöne gut ausgestattete Villa für drei Personen mit großer Terrasse, ruhig abseits vom Trubel gelegen, sehr toller Pool zum Erfrischen, Hotel hat sowohl die Mangroventour als auch eine Schildkrötentour am Abend organisiert, direkt nebenan im Cafe Azul kann man sehr lecker essen,

Pros:

Ruhige Lage, fussläufig zum Strand. Schöner Pool-Bereich. Tolle Außenanlage mit Outdoor-Küche.

Cons:

Zimmer renovierungsbedürftig. Starker Geruch aus dem Abfluss, der sich leider im gesamten Zimmer verteilt. Fenster klein und nicht zu öffnen. Keine Liegen am Strand, nur Klappstühle gegen hohe Gebühr. Trotz Nationalpark Baustelle genau gegenüber - sehr schade.

Beautiful beach and clean hotel. Pool was lovely too and never crowded.
Pros:

Excellent location, close to the beach and coffee shop. Dylan was fantastic and really helped us out when we needed to courier a package to the hotel. When we mentioned the lack of hot water, staff came right away to fix the issue.

Cons:

I wish we had a small coffee maker in our room.
