Schön urig, mitten im Ort, Parkplätze am Rhein in Reichweite.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war gut.
3. Stock ohne Aufzug ist ein bisschen mühsam, aber für einen Aufzug wäre sicherlich kein Platz in dem mittelalterlichen Turm.
Direkt vor dem Zimmerfenster fuhren Züge vorbei, aber bei geschlossenem Fenster war es nicht allzu laut, es hat uns jedenfalls beim Schlafen nicht gestört.

Strong potential, quaint building
Pros:

First the good news: the beds are fine, and clean enough to sleep peacefully on them. The building itself has strong potential, and the owners seem to be doing some work on the ground floor. Hopefully they’ll work their way up soon. Breakfast is decent, although the coffee is lukewarm. The staff is super friendly, and I hope that they improve the place and have a thriving business.

Cons:

The place is dusty and musty and seems to have no reliable means of keeping a comfortable temperature in the rooms. Luckily, we stayed in autumn, so temperatures were stable and comfortable. The place needs a deep cleaning and carpet replacement for starters. Then a coat of paint and a replacement of the 50 year old curtains and fixtures. Again, the place has potential, but it’s not ready for prime time, and certainly not worth the price. As for the trains, they pass noisily at spitting distance every five minutes or so all night. The windows provide zero soundproofing. There were many more Friday night than Saturday night.

Pros:

Das Hotel liegt sehr gut, fussläufig alles erreichbar. Das Bett war gross und recht bequem. Es gab einen Kühlschrank im Zimmer.

Cons:

Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer ließ zu wünschen übrig. Der Schlüssel ging kaum ins Schloss im Zimmer.

Zwar nettes Personal, Hotel aber nicht zu empfehlen
Pros:

Die Zimmer sind sehr alt, das Bad geht. Die Lage ist gut, allerdings fahren regelmäßig die Züge direkt am Hotel vorbei, was sehr laut ist. Ein gebuchtes Einzelzimmer war muffig und eher unbewohnbar. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, das war ok.
Das Frühstück war okay.
Obwohl das Personal bemüht und sehr freundlich war, würden wir das Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Das alte Hotel ist ewig nicht renoviert worden, was erforderlich wäre

Bom cafe da manhã e localização

Cons:

O problema são as escadas. O hotel não tem elevator e apesar de entender que é uma construção antiga, é dificil se pessoa tem malas e mais idade..

Nur bei einem Eisenbahnerstreik würde ich wieder kommen.
Pros:

Ein Romantikhotel (im Turm eines Stadttores) für Eisenbahnfreunde ! Die 2-spurige linksrheinische Bahnstrecke führt im Abstand von 50-100 m am Turm vorbei. Genau unterm Zimmer gibts es 4 Weichen, über die etwa 1/2-stündig Züge rappeln, auch nachts. Nachts besonders Güterzüge mit mehr als 30 Wagons! Die Brücke (damit man von der Straße unter den Schienen bis zum Tor kommt) wirkt wie ein Resonanzkasten. Gute Nacht - mit einer Überdosis Schlaftabletten.

Kleines Hotel in toller Lage im historischen Gebäude.
Pros:

Phantastische Lage im historischen Zentrum in einem alten Stadtturm. Sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück OK mit allem, was man von einem Frühstücksbuffet erwartet. Terrasse vorhanden. Bett bequem.

Cons:

Zimmer spartanisch ausgestattet - kein Schrank, kein Fernsehen. Bad klein. Da das Hotel direkt neben einer Bahnstrecke liegt, die auch nachts viel Güterverkehr hat, ist es selbst bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht für alle einfach zu schlafen.

Für eins zwei Nächte ok und lieber ohne Frühstück
Pros:

Die Unterkunft ist rustikal sauber aber nicht geeignet für Personen die nicht körperlich belastbar sind. Alleine um die Rezeption zu erreichen muss man einige Treppen steigen . Unser Zimmer lag in der dritten Etage bis das Gepäck oben war war man dann wirklich urlaubsreif

Cons:

Charmant und rustikal kann ja schön sein aber beim Frühstück gab man sich überhaupt keine Mühe. Da wurde an allem gespart. Brötchen zum aufbacken( keine Auswahl) billiger Aufschnitt keine Abwechslung und an Tag drei verzichtet man dann schon freiwillig. Sehr schade denn man kann auch mit etwas Aufwand und einem Euro teurer das Frühstück schöner gestalten
