Convenient for me, comfortable, friendly and great value.
Pros:

I was in Warstein for work, so perfect location. Effeln is very peaceful at night and owners very friendly and attentive. Room was clean, comfortable and everything in bathroom worked as expected.
Local beer was very nice.

Cons:

Not many options on evening menu just variations of snitzel, which was nice but with a little too much cooking oil for me.

Pros:

Ich wollte hier übernachten, obwohl ich weiter entfernt zu tun habe. Die Bewertungen machten aber schon Lust auf mehr. Und tatsächlich Hotel, Restaurant und Bar, alles passt. Es ist picobello sauber. Das Zimmer ist groß, hat einen Balkon. Für Getränke ist auch in dem Etagen Kühlschrank noch gesorgt. Im Restaurant ist mein herrlich lecker. Mein Auto wurde auch noch umgeparkt. Vielen Dank dafür. Die Bar ist gemütlich. Es passt alles. Vielen Dank.

Lovely hotel set in charming countryside village
Pros:

I had a very enjoyable stay at Gasthof Grofe. The team were very friendly and helpful, and they were happy to accommodate my motorcycle in their own garage. The hotel is set in a charming village in the middle of the country side, but was still close enough to main road links to major cities. My room was very well equipped, extremely clean and well looked after, with good views of the countryside. I had a superb dinner, which was very reasonably priced, and likewise the breakfast, which was included in the room price. I shall definitely be staying again in the future when I'm on my travels.

Brilliant place in a nice town...
Pros:

The location was great for us, the hotel is super nice, the staff are warm and friendly and willing to help... We had a evening meal at the hotel and OMG it was sooo good, the parking for our motorcycles was brilliant, the rooms are clean and well presented, breakfast was very good.

Cons:

Our only thing that we can say is the pillows on the bed they are terrible bit this could be the way its done in Germany but we prefer firm pillows not bags of air that give you neck ache...
