Great place in an amazing location.
Pros:

Great location just far enough from the main street to be quieter but close enough that you can walk easily to the waterfront and many restaurants.
Big room with a nice outdoor sitting area.
We booked our shuttle as well through the hotel and it worked out great.
It has a very pretty courtyard.

Cons:

It would be great to have a safe in the room for valuables.
As well the bed was extremely firm, too firm.

We enjoyed our stay very much!
Pros:

The property was beautiful. The location was convenient. The staff were extremely helpful. Having a wonderful breakfast restaurant available in the morning was especially helpful and delicious. We were very happy we chose Utz Jay for our stay in Panajachel

Cons:

Could not be helped but several dogs lived right next to our room and began barking loudly at various times during the evening and in early morning.
