Quiet and comfortable stay with friendly service and a great breakfast.
Pros:

The beds are incredibly comfortable — they feel almost revolutionary and were perfect for full recovery after a long hike. The room was very quiet with good soundproofing, warm, and equipped with comfortable furniture. I also appreciated the consistent hot water and a special shower attachment that made the water feel pleasantly soft.

The service was exceptional: the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast experience was unique. Instead of a buffet, you are served personally with a high-quality classic German breakfast. Despite the vintage feel, the room was functional, had enough space, and offered a beautiful view from the window.

Cons:

The hotel hasn't been renovated in a long time and looks a bit tired or dated. It’s worth noting for those who care that there is no elevator. However, for the price, it still meets all essential needs.

Insgesamt ein sehr einfacher Aufenthalt mit deutlichen Abstrichen bei Sauberkeit, Komfort und Ausstattung. Positiv hervo
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich gut und sehr praktisch. Besonders positiv überrascht hat das gemütliche Bett, in dem man sehr gut schlafen konnte. Auch das Frühstück war lecker und für 10 € absolut angemessen – hier gibt es nichts zu beanstanden.

Cons:

Die Ankunft war ungewöhnlich, da am Haupteingang mehrere Umschläge mit Zimmerschlüsseln und vollständigen Namen offen auslagen, was datenschutzrechtlich fragwürdig wirkt. Das Zimmer war durch einen großen Dachgiebel deutlich eingeschränkt und wirkte dadurch sehr klein. Die sanitären Anlagen bestanden aus einer sehr kleinen Gemeinschaftsdusche für die gesamte Etage, deren Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig ließ. Zudem machten die Bettbezüge keinen frischen Eindruck und es befanden sich Flecken sowie ein fremdes Haar auf der Matratze. Durch die hellhörigen Wände war es zudem recht laut, sodass man andere Gäste deutlich hören konnte. Das WLAN funktionierte während des Aufenthalts nicht.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war gut! Es sollte jedoch auf die Mail des Hotels geachtet und reagiert werden, die einem vorher zugesandt wird. Für uns gab es eine schöne Auswahl, allerdings kein Buffet.
Der Hotelier war sehr bemüht, sehr freundlich und hat sich jedem Gast im Gespräch persönlich angenommen.

Nettes, ruhiges, einfaches Hotel mit sehr belesenem und umsorgendem Gastgeber
Pros:

Schöner Blick vom Balkon, bequeme Betten mit elektronisch aufstellbarem Lattenrost, ein sehr kundiger und umsorgender Gastgeber, leckeres lokales Bier zum Abendessen, sehr leckeres und ausgiebiges Frühstück, ruhige Lage, flexible Anreise.

Cons:

Dusche und Waschbecken direkt im Zimmer (nicht nachteilhaft, aber gut zu wissen).

Pros:

Obwohl es keinen Restaurantbetrieb mehr gibt, wurden wir als Gäste des Hotels gefragt, ob wir etwas zum Abendessen haben möchten. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker, genauso wie das reichhaltige Frühstück in Büro-Qualität. Der Gastgeber gab sich sehr viel Mühe alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und war auch überaus nett. Der Check-In verlief reibungslos und die Kommunikation vor dem Aufenthalt war sehr gut.

Cons:

Auf unserem Tisch im Speiseraum waren die Tischdecken leider nicht ganz sauber und teilweise waren Krümel zu sehen. Ebenso konnte man Krümel auf den Sitzbänken spüren.

Very nice stay in the middle of the Harz mountains
Pros:

Nice and super quiet location but walking distance to the Therme / town, friendly staff, Bio breakfast with plentiful products and choice. Ski rental next door. Short drive to cross-country skiing trails.

Lage gut, das Drumherum ist aber ausbaufähig
Pros:

Als Startpunkt für eine Wanderung gut geeignet. Außerdem ist man mit dem Auto über die angrenzende Bundesstraße schnell auch an weiter entlegenen Orten.

Cons:

Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer und in den Speiseräumen war mangelhaft. Das Essen wurde vorab bekannt gegeben (2 Alternativen), eine komplett freie Auswahl war nicht möglich. Die Portionen waren für uns (beide 30) nach einem langen Wandertag zu klein.
