Electrical work not done compliantly TV is not level
And also the fact that I paid for a room and based on the images that was provided prior to making the booking looked beautiful but when I booked in I got a crummy room that looked like it was for backpackers

The staff were unprofessional from the moment we got there. First nobody was there to help us. Then someone came and tried to help before calling the receptionist. Keys were nowhere to be found. My wife sent a message asking about the times of the restaurant prior to arrival and they said 10pm it closes, when we got there they had casually informed us that the restaurant has been closed since April 2025. The faucets were dripping constantly and the drainage of the shower was not as should be. We have slept at many places (similar in price as well) and have hardly ever needed to complain.

The pool was under construction

Would have loved a better room - sea view would have been nice but I did not want to pay a huge amount for one nights stay. Breakfast was not included and we cud include it for an extra charge but the staff advised us that the breakfast was not great at the hotel. We left and had breakfast at the Wimpy in Langebaan.

Renovations, but realise it's necessary

At first glance the room looked clean and beds were comfortable. Sadly, the door to the balcony was busted and wouldn't unlock, so we had no access to it. The balcony had a nice table and chairs that the kids wanted to sit at to enjoy the ocean view, but had to do it through the windows instead.

Room had a strange odour that we couldn't identify. Bedside lamp lights were not working.
The biggest letdown of our stay was that when we got home, we discovered that we all have bedbug bites...
So...there's that!

Disappointing, as this place could actually be as nice as it is presented in the photos with improved upkeep.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at the hotel. I made a reservation through Booking.com at a discounted rate; however, upon arrival, I was informed by the front desk staff that the room I had booked “did not look as nice” and that I should upgrade at an additional cost of R600. This was both unexpected and concerning.
After requesting to view the originally booked room, I found it to be extremely disappointing and not reflective of the images advertised online. Notably, there were no accurate photos of this specific room category provided at the time of booking. Had the true condition been transparently displayed, I would not have made the reservation—especially considering that it took me approximately three hours to travel to the location based on the appealing images shown online.
When I requested to cancel due to the discrepancy, I was eventually offered an upgrade for an additional R200 instead of R600. Unfortunately, the upgraded room was also unsatisfactory. It lacked basic amenities such as a fridge, microwave, and even a headboard, and cleanliness was below acceptable standards, with visible dust present throughout the room.
While I appreciate that the front desk staff member remained calm, polite, and willing to assist throughout the process, the overall experience fell far short of expectations. Guests should not be placed in a position where they feel compelled to pay extra simply to receive a room that meets basic standards, regardless of the price originally paid.
I would strongly encourage the hotel to improve transparency in its advertising, ensure accurate room representations online, maintain consistent cleanliness, and strive to make all guests feel equally valued. A reputable establishment should uphold the same standards across all room categories.
Overall, I cannot consider this stay to be value for money.

For now there is nothing I didn't like. I would highly recommend this place .

How impatient and demanding some of our guests can be,but the staff was on the ball.

For 3 stars there was no hair dryer. There was no complimentary soaps. We had to ask for sweetners. There was no remote for the TV and was told they can't find it. The staff bless their hearts had only started a month ago and others 2 days ago. So not exactly trained for the job. Their uniforms are short tennis skirts with golfers???? Not what we expected at all. Don't think we will return.
