friendly staff; nice area

hotel is in a nice area of dakar. room basic but comfortable. room looks onto another apartment's courtyard, so not much of a view--could be mildly claustrophobic if you were going to be in room for extended period. during my stay, TV was being repaired, so friendly staff said I could switch to different room, but I didn't bother changing rooms. Water was out for several hours, but this was a problem in whole neighbourhood that day, and staff brought in a big 20 L jug of water for bathing. Staff let me store luggage there after checkout for rest of the day. To find this place, ask taxi to drive you to "univerisity du sahel" and then you are just a few blocks away--see google maps or similar.
