위치가 몽골 시내 중심부였던 점, 숙소가 청결하고 아늑했던 점이 좋았음.
숙소 이용 당시 숙소 근처의 행사가 많아 밤늦게까지 소음이 심했으나, 소음 신경을 쓰지 않는다면 큰 문제는 되지 않을 듯. 그 외의 것은 만족스러웠음.
The location was the only redeeming feature of this stay. Close to everything we needed.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made a mistake. The hotel is incredibly dated, dirty, and reeks of cigarette smoke throughout, despite signs threatening a $100 fine for smoking. Clearly, no one enforces it.
Our room was no better. The window was literally held together with tape. A few days into our stay, the ceiling above the shower collapsed while I was using it — dumping plaster and dirty black water on me. When I reported this to the so-called “manager,” his response was, “It’s fine, what do you want me to do about it?” Completely dismissive and indifferent to a serious safety issue.
To make matters worse, I received a message while we were out on a day tour stating that staff were going into our room and moving our belongings to a new room without our permission. There was absolutely no valid reason for this, and no prior notice was given. It was a clear invasion of privacy and made us feel extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the stay.
Then, to top it all off, at checkout they tried to charge me $200 for “ceiling damage” the very ceiling that collapsed on me. Unbelievable.
A colleague was charged a ridiculous fee for make up on a towel, when we refused to pay we were locked in the hotel until they received payment. Incredibly scary as female travellers.
Staff professionalism? Non-existent. One morning around 7:15am, I found front desk staff fast asleep on the couch.
There’s also constant security at the entrance, which you quickly realize is there because of the massage parlour downstairs that only seems to attract male visitors. It creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere for guests.
Bottom line: this place needs a full refurbishment or to be shut down entirely. It’s unsafe, unsanitary, unprofessional, and deeply concerning on multiple levels. On top of that, they’ll try to hit you with random charges when you leave.
Do yourself a favour and stay literally anywhere else there are far better and safer options nearby.

The hotel location was good for my work and the room layout suitable with a desk to work at and a clean bathroom. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, but it was hot, even with the radiator turned off. This could be partially corrected by opening the window, but it then became nosiy and eventually too cold. The foyer was fairly spartan and dining facilities were provided by adjoining chinese or japanese restaurants in the same building.
I have been coming to mongolia for over a decade and always stay here. Excellent location within walking distance of sukhbaatar square, and some nice new cafes have opened nearby as well. Also close to favourite jazz bar Fat Cat and good restaurants such as Veranda, Silk Road, Fat Hen. Across the road from Shangri-la mall. Very clean; good breakfast. Steady wifi.

We loved this hotel. Location was an 8 minutes walk to Sukhbaatar Square, the main square in the city. The Tourist Information in the Square is friendly and helpful and the young man who helped me spoke top English. For an extra 5 minutes you get the Genghis Khan Museum, which is excellent, well organized and displayed.
The Executive Manager with flawless English and enthusiasm, recommended a fabulous lunch restaurant with generous portions of home cooked food, local and delish. She was always available for advice with a smile.
Room had everything we needed. The best hotel we stayed in our 3 country trip!
