We stayed two nights and didn't really have time to explore the hotel facilities. Large private and safe parking just a few minutes walk from the old village.
We received fantastic help from the hotel owner when our car broke down. His helpfulness was truly exceptional! When you receive that kind of help, even a difficult situation can become a very positive travel memory. We are so grateful!
Mediocre property. Motel-like
Hôtel simple et efficaces accueil neutre, chambre propre et localisation parfaite pour découvrir le village à pied!
Très bon établissement et proche du centre.
It started badly with"you are too early!! not with how was you 4.5 hour drive here.!(we were 35 minutes early.)
at reception we were given a list of do and don'ts. such as if you eat anything in your room. you will be thrown out- no refund. if you eat anything by the pool you will be thrown out, no refund.. there is no coffee, no entry into lobby area, no entry into dining area.no access into
their parking lot from 8:00pm until 8:00am. all areas are gated off with a huge steel folding gates.
Staff and particularly the "boss"would walk by by us several times during breakfast averting all eye contact.
or a "good morning". we decided this was not a happy place for us. we decided to stay for a second night then leave i gave them notice and told them i would pay the 1 night penalty according to Hotels.com.The "boss" informed me he didn't abide by Hotels.com rules he has his own (not published on the website.)Hotels.com informed me there was nothing they could do.I was charged for 8 nights stayed two !!
We have traveled to France since the "50's" ! love France and it's people.
many wonderful places to stay. This place is not one of them.
I personally can't believe the many 10/10 reviews .
The positives - clean, good parking, pretty building and pool area, 15 minute to town.
Negatives - difficult to find a staff member, breakfast €16 there was no prepared fruit, no bread for toast, no coffee options, the small shower towels not changed and left damp as no where to dry them, no pool towels available so meant we used the ones in the room. 1 bottle of water supplied for 2 night stay. Interestingly no food or drink to be consumed in the room....of course we did though!! For a 3* hotel that offered a spa the massages were €90 as the cheapest. Roussilon is a lovely village be sure to visit the Ochre. We ate twice in the village the first restaurant clearly not a fan of the English the second restaurant was so welcoming, see other reviews. We took a day out to L'isle de la Sorgue and Gordes which were beautiful definitely recommend a trip.
Excellent hotel.
This establishment could be so great it’s too bad that the owner is so not into the international clients who visit his property. I stayed there for two weeks and I couldn’t get him to give me directions on how to get to a nearby town. Meanwhile the French visitors he was pulling out Google maps and printing them directions and they were only there for a weekend.
I’ll take my business elsewhere thank you very much. And then he added some bs charge at the checkout.. fine charge me, I can afford it.
Bel endroit vraiment
Séjour très agréable dans un cadre magnifique et calme.
Un très bel établissement confortable et propre.
Proche du village et des sites touristiques.
Je recommande.
This is a nice hotel in a nice location on walking distance to Le Sentier des Ocres in the center of Roussillon. I could have given it five stars, but I ended up with three due to the following reasons:
- welcome was rather cold and perfunctory;
- staff was not really interested in us;
- there were too many instructions and regulations, e.g. "Any consumption of food and/or drinks is prohibited in the rooms (...)". "In the event of non-compliance with these regulations or in the event of disagreement with the instructions of Management, we reserve the right to terminate the current stay (...)". Welcome ;-)
- rooms were really small;
- reception, bar and pool are closed at 8 pm;
- there was a bottle of water in the room, but there were no glasses, not even in the bathroom.
We spent two nights at this amazing place. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and well-thought out, with its cute little balcony overlooking the lovely relaxing yard. There are a couple of areas on the main floor where one can spread out and read/write, whether inside or out. The breakfast is outstanding, well worth its modest cost. Warm hospitality seems to be its motto! With a 15 min walk to the centre of Roussillon, its location is perfect. Highly recommended!!!
.
Perfect location - a place to relax away from the crowds but an easy walk to the must see, taste, drink elements. Staff were supremely helpful.
Great and beautiful hotel, convenient, only 10 minutes walking distance to the town and the park. Clean and quiet, service is excellent. The hotel staff recommended and help us to reserve a very good restaurant.
Stayed here for 1 night, the town was very busy but this hotel, just a short walk on the outskirts of town, was a little oasis from the hustle and bustle. Lovely pool, sun beds, room and breakfast. Only slightly strange thing was the hairdryer- best bring your own according to my wife! Wished we’d stayed longer, the town is wonderful- recommend Ooma for dinner.
