Pros:

The hotel was beautiful and the installations were great. We enjoyed the onsen and spa.

Cons:

The personel was supposed to speak English, but I still struggle to communicate with then. At some point I had a problem in the onsen and they didn’t help me as they couldn’t understand what I was saying

Outstanding, classic resort hotel experience on lake Ashi
Pros:

Beautiful classic Lakeside Hotel that originally belonged to a Japanese Baron. Gorgeous art deco fixtures and classic wood decor in common areas, the expansive lounge offers a free morning and evening drink service and restaurant has both a French and a Japanese restaurant, you can choose either for breakfast and dinner. Outstanding manicured gardens and a Lakeside Café that has a dog friendly terrace make this a real gem. Fantastic, classic Japanese customer service that goes above and beyond. There is a free shuttle bus that will take you to / from the boat dock at MotoHakone. The women’s hot spring was excellent, I love that they provide full-size towels as many hotels require you to bring the towels from your room. I also appreciated they included both drip coffee and creamer in the room. It was my first stay, but I will definitely be back!

部屋は清潔｡風呂も清潔で最高の気分であった。食事も期待通り美味しかった。

静かな宿泊で、ゆっくりできました。
Pros:

ディナー・朝食　美味しかったです。
リニューアルしてから、暫くぶりの宿泊でした。お食事が一層良くなりました。

Cons:

急なスケジュールだった為、
ツヅジ、シャクナゲの時期が過ぎて、バラ園も思ってたより成長してなかった事が残念でした。次回は花盛り時期に予定をたてたいと思います。

スタッフの対応も親切で心地良かった。

Cons:

設備が古い。 朝食(洋食)についてはお客が集中すると
バイキングに渋滞が発生、スープ、コーヒーの温度も
充分に管理されているとは言い難く今後の改善を期待
したい。

Must return in good weather. The lake was still beautiful in cloudy conditions.
Pros:

The staff were excellent. Service impeccable. The gardens were impressive and the view of the lake beautiful. The shuttle bus running every 20 minutes is a real plus. And several buses stop at the hotel that go to local towns and sights. And a bus goes to Shinjuku at 12 midday with no changes. Very convenient. You could choose either western or Japanese breakfast. Both were good. Not buffet style . Also in the lounge in the afternoon, free coffe and tea, soft drinks and nibbles.

Cons:

The weather! A typhoon passed by and the weather was not good. It cleared for a bit and I was able to see Fuji san from the terrace in front of the lounge area.

Pros:

A quaint hotel that provides a country side charm with close proximity to Lake Ashi, accessible by buses to all the attraction sites in Hakone, it provides a place to rest and relaxation with its good size room and onsen; amazing food prepared by both Japanese and French kitchen and amazing service by all the staff.

Cons:

If you don’t have a hired car, you will have to rely on the public transport to get to the town centre.

Pros:

Sehr nettes Personal, super angenehm auch, dass es einen Shuttleservice von Motohakone Port zum Hotel gibt. Onsen sind sehr angenehm und überhaupt nicht überfüllt. Netter Garten zum Spazieren

Vegetarische Auswahl beim Essen.
