Categories

Cleanliness
6.4
Mixed signals: many guests described rooms as clean but multiple reports of dust, shabby communal areas, strange smells and housekeeping lapses (duvet stayed uncleaned, no towel changes) lowered the score.
Service
7.8
Generally positive staff interactions (friendly, swift action on key issues, helpful office worker) though there were complaints about slow check-in and inconsistent housekeeping/service.
Location
8.1
Frequently praised for being easy to locate, convenient for motorway/parking and well placed for requirements; some guests noted a dodgy area late at night and an unwelcoming external building.
Room Quality
6.7
Rooms often described as comfortable and spacious with comfy beds, but recurring issues (old/poor mattresses, broken shower heads, loose taps, faulty bedside lights, thin pillows) reduce the rating.
Amenities
7.5
Adequate amenities noted (on-site bar, kettle, parking, confirmed special requests such as standing shower); limited late-night food/drink options and some aging communal equipment were drawbacks.
Value for Money
8.3
Many guests explicitly called the hotel good value or great value for money, citing reasonable prices and included facilities that met expectations.
Food and Beverage
7.6
Breakfast received several positive mentions (good/plenty/ excellent); on-site bar available, but limited late-night food/drink options were criticized.
Overall Experience
6.8
Overall a mixed but mostly acceptable stay: comfortable beds and friendly staff balanced by maintenance issues, occasional cleanliness and check-in problems.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

No air-conditioning room extremely hot.
Would not call this a hotel more like a building block.

For one night whilst passing through town, it was ok. For anything else, I'd give it a miss
Pros:

It's cheap and easy to reach via public transport. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfy. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room are always nice

Cons:

They scan your card for a security deposit, so you'd expect everything in the room to be ok. But the control knob on the thermostat was missing so you could only turn heating/air con on or off, no control over the temperature. The shower only gave boiling hot water as the temperature control knob didn't work, definite scalding risk, couldn't use it. So what's the point in taking a security deposit if they don't fix broken things in the room?

It's an old building that used to be part of the University of Salford, you can tell because they're been too lazy to remove the signs directing you to the lecture rooms.

The view is surprising nice! However the dirt on the outside of the windows makes it difficult to see it.

Never again!
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Awful staff experience when I encountered a problem after my stay regarding their parking. We paid for parking but when I arrived we put my car (instead of my partner's) in the car park instead for safety and the other car on the road. Because it was a different reg their car park charged me £300 in parking fines. I asked the hotel to cancel these because it was a simple mistake for the sake of £2 and they refused. After weeks of chasing them for a response if they will cancel them or not, I have now got bailiff letters. They could have cancelled these tickets at the click of a button but didn’t. We had stayed there 3 times in recent months. Never again.
