This hotel could easily return to a decent two-star standard. The problem is neglect.
Pros:

A beautiful property is being let down by poor maintenance and weak management. Very disappointing.

Cons:

I manage several hotels in Germany, and I was honestly shocked by the condition of the room I was given.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has real potential, which makes the poor state of the rooms even harder to understand. In my business, a manager who allowed a room to be sold in this condition would have a serious problem.

The frustrating part is that this does not require a huge investment. A few days’ revenue spent on paint, furniture, lighting, repairs, and basic refurbishment could completely change the guest experience.

If you're the brave kind...
Pros:

Location is steps away from Gare du Nord, near St Christopher's Hostel (so expect noise from there and some loitering).
The doorman was friendly enough for our late arrival and lack of French.
Cheap, no frills hotel but decent sized room, bathroom with shower, towels (no toothpaste).

Cons:

Very basic hotel, wouldn't have normally chosen to stay here but for just one late night, 11pm check in to 9am out, seemed fine.
EXCEPT for the fact we saw one cockroach in the bathroom (which usually suggests there are more...)
We freaked out and obviously it killed the comfort for using the bathroom. (Toilet and small shower).
Also broken lights, so upon entry, no lights in the room. Just 1 by the bed.
Only one wall socket so difficult to charge multiple devices if needed.

Hotel très mal insonorisé

Je suis arrivée à 20 h 30. J ai dû sonner au moins 5 fois avant que l on m ouvre la porte d entrée de l établissement alors que l hôtel reste ouvert 24 h sur 24.

Pros:

Die Lage zwischen den Bahnhöfen ist genial. Somit ist Bahn sowie U Bahn schnell erreichbar und man ist schnell an allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 5 Stock mit tollen Blick über dich Dächer. Tolle Bäckereien und Restaurants in der Nähe.

Cons:

Der kleine Aufzug. Aber so etwas gibt es in älteren Häuser in Paris.😂

Pros:

L’emplacement proche de la gare est parfait, le personnel très gentil et un bon rapport qualité prix

Cons:

Il y’a un bar en dessous du bâtiment d’en face donc comme j’y suis allé le jour d’un match c’était assez bruyant mais avec les fenêtres fermées ça allait !
