Lovely little hotel with some cool history. Perfect for a little stay in Avalon
Pros:

Very good location and next to beach

Cons:

Room was a bit small but for Catalina and the price this was pretty expected

Paid for the view and got just that but nothing else.
Pros:

Location was top tier, paid for ocean view and it was unobstructed ocean view.

Cons:

The bathroom did not have a vent which is terrible for a small room very close to the bathroom. Wifi was very weak. Breakfast was just random pastries and fruits on a tiny table in front of the office. Nothing too crazy

Nice quiet stay
Pros:

It is close to everything.

Cons:

There are lots of stairs at the front entrance. Note: There is a an entrance in the back of the building that has less stairs. That can be accessed only until 7pm. I would suggest using them to bring your bags up and down into the property.

Pros:

Location right next to the beach, staff are nice, you can keep your bags there if you arrive early or want to browse around after checkout, free coffee and pastries are always nice.

Cons:

The stairs can be brutal after a long day out if you're on the top floor.

The hotel was clean and our room had a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Pros:

Our room over the Main Street was small and lovely . We loved it.

Cons:

Our kids room in the courtyard was stuffy and lacked a working fan for the bath.

Amazing location, traditional style, clean
Pros:

Amazing location facing the shoreline and main road. Overall clean facilities, friendly staff, and a very nice courtyard area that could be utilized for outdoor casual dining and afternoon lounging.

Cons:

The entrance is very small and easily to be missed. The hotel feels quite dated (even though it takes pride in its heritage and history). Quite overpriced for the dated look.
