Friendly but needs updating bed wise
Pros:

King size bed 2 single beds pushed together with a horrible gap oncein bed decore needs updating and old marked furniture

Pros:

Staff really helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived (stayed overnight with 2 friends while walking a stretch of the Hadrian's Wall path.)
Our rooms were upgraded from singles to twins - not necessary, but very much appreciated.
Bathroom clean and tidy with an actual bath in situ as well as the shower (one of my friends particularly appreciated being able to have a bath after the day's hike.)
Bathroom had hand-wash in a dispenser (on wall) rather than individual bars of soap and full toilet roll.
Shower was lovely - water was hot and water pressure high
Room was cold on arrival, but due to window being, wide open, so fine once this was closed.
Bed was really comfortable and duvet lovely and warm even though it didn't seem very thick.
Facilities to make a hot drink (kettle, tea coffee, sugar & milk sachets.)
Room had a television which I didn't use, although couldn't see a remote for it.
Continental breakfast included in the price (toaster with choice of brown or white bread, selection of jams, marmalade or honey, cereals tea ,coffee and juices.)
There is a gym and a bar but I didn't use these facilities.
Overall, fantastic value for money.

Cons:

Not dislikes as such, more comments about things I noticed:

No blanket or hairdryer in the room (not a problem as bed warm and I brought my own hairdryer but generally standard in most hotels now.)

Top section of window was on a tight spring, couldn't manage to close window without standing on a chair and also meant window was either fully shut or really wide open, so not possibly to have it just slightly ajar overnight, which I like to do.

Pros:

The hotel was clean and warm, the room was comfortable and spacious, I liked the gym, and table tennis facilities, although I didn't use them.
The staff were pleasant , friendly and helpful

No evening dining facilities

Pros:

Loved the room had private bathroom and there was a single bed in another room but connect to room I was in I booked family room staff was friendly had a good natter with 2 members of staff the fella that checked me out was super helpful had the patience of a saint with the kids and so did the lady that checked me out cant wait to visit again already booked was peaceful and quiet quiet location too not far from Costa or the asda was a KFC too bottom of hill was bus transport to city centre

There wasn't anything I didn't like even the prices was really good

Stayed here a few times only if l need parking though, upgraded my room the only difference l could see where the biscui
