Staff members are spot on but the hotel as a whole is very run down and just not a nice place to be we even left a day e
Pros:

The staff were really accommodating.

Cons:

The hotel was not great. Missing paint all on the skirting boards. Outside the hotel was a mess there was scrap metal and old fridges just scattered about. The towels smelt really bad luckily we brought our own. For what we payed this hotel was definitely not worth it and a total let down.

A good place for a group get together on a budget.
Pros:

This is an ideal tradesmans stopover on route to Scotland. The bar was really well priced and spacious, the rooms fine and plenty of parking - easy to get to from the motorway.

Cons:

Good bar with plenty of space and good prices.

Un buon punto di appoggio a Carlisle
Pros:

Un albergo semplice e onesto, con un buon parcheggio e molti servizi a disposizione. Camere essenziali ma confortevoli

Cons:

Non vicinissimo al centro che comunque è raggiungibile a piedi con una camminata di 10/15 minuti

A bit running-down hotel with rooms of different categories, wifi connection is not in all rooms
Pros:

It is a bit running-down hotel with rooms of different categories.
Free parking is fine.

Cons:

Our room was one of those less lucky ones - it was a small room with shabby furniture and shaking uncomfortable beds.
The bathroom does not have the nice shower unit as advertised in the presented photos, but a shabby worn-out bathtub.
The worst thing for travellers in need of internet - WIFI CONNECTION IS NOT IN ALL ROOMS, as the receptionist told me when I asked, although the hotel on Booking.com advertises free wifi. So I had to go to the reception area to get online, quite annoying when you are tired after a long day travelling...
The view out of our room was quite scary - dense bushes and wasteland.

Avoid at all costs
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

This hotel is a disgrace, and nothing like it is portrait in the listing. It doesn't have the facilities it claims, the staff are stubborn and unhelpful, nothing works, the whole place is a disfunctional, badly managed. Run down shambles. I refused to stay, even if it meant the possibility of losing my money!

Good value hotel just outside the centre of Carlisle.
Pros:

I wasn't quite sure what was happening with this hotel. It looked like a hotel that had closed a while ago and then been purchased by another hotel chain who were trying to get it going again and make a go of it. Anyway, I received a nice welcome when I arrived and my room was absolutely fine. I had a meal in the bar which was fairly basic but well cooked and very nice, and a couple of pints of real ale. I was on my own, backpacking the Cumbria Way which ends (or starts if you're doing it the wrong way round - like me) in Carlisle. So it was good value and perfect my needs.

Cons:

There could have been a better sign at the entrance from the main road. I walked past it initially 100m and had to walk back.
