the receptionist was so friendly and welcoming, i believe his name was jake, it was sad to hear he was switching the work department, overall very nice and clean place to stay

The room I've taken pictures of the room I stayed in room 75 it was unclean dirty and no house keeping done only 1 day of house keeping I'll be putting in a complaint to booking.com £186 for a small disgusting room

Basic, cheap and adequate

Cons:

This is not a hotel with "charm", if anything it is the opposite, a very unattractive building set on a hill in an unattractive area. It is what it is, providing satisfactory basic accommodation at a low price and it did the job for us. To get the ambience, comfort and charm of a better hotel, we would almost certainly have had to pay double what we paid.

Very good value for a budget hotel
Pros:

If you are after luxurious fittings and scenic gardens this hotel is not for you but if you want somewhere that is spotlessly clean, has comfortable beds, delivers a very good buffet breakfast and has very friendly and helpful staff, all at a very fair price then this is definitely one to consider. Free parking is right outside the entrance, (see reception before putting any money into machines). Location isn't as close to the town as made out but if you are a decent walker then the town centre is easily reachable - unfortunately you have to walk the length of a particularly down market Botchergate to reach the very pleasant town centre but it is well worth the effort.

Cons:

We knew what the hotel was like and were only there for a couple of nights so weren't disappointed by the hotel as it met our expectations

Great spot to break up travel
Pros:

Was very comfortable to stay and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic! Good to be able to use the gym after being in the car travelling all day (very basic and a bit warm but did the job well)

The staff was great. The guy who checked us in was super cool. And the girl who checked us out was really cute. They were fab

Cons:

Management needs to motivate their staff cuz either they are underpaid or understaffed. The room was a bit dirty, there were some noises, water coming from the ceiling, and the curtain almost failing off.
