Where to begin… on the positive side location is beautiful, our room nice and spacious, and personnel is polite and willing to help. All the rest was a disaster.
* AC and hot water in our room were not working properly.
* Hotel guests are clearly less of a priority vis-a-vis weddings/events. Outdoor bar was privatized and had to call reception twice and wait 15 minutes to have someone come and take our orders. Drinks were atrocious (no ice, no garnish…) and served in plastic cups.
Further, had to take the back door and go through the kitchen/catering area to go to dinner as wedding hosts didn’t want hotel guests cross their venue
* Food was disappointing. My fish was dry and hard, dessert avarage at best - a first given we are at the heart of Piemonte

Overall a highly disappointing experience, only partly mitigated by the work done by the staff - I will not come back

Falta mantenimiento generalitzado.

Honnêtement le bâtiment est magnifique et les chambres spacieuses … mais ça s’arrête là ! Service inexistant - très sale, j’avais rarement vu ça !
Piscine salle de sport et jacuzzi qui parent en lambeau.
Malade après le petit dej - et le resto du soir se veut haut de gamme, il n’en a que le prix (plat de pâtes bolo médiocre à 20€)

Beautiful exterior, but that’s all. Dated interior from late 90’s diminishing all feelings of entering a castle. The absolute worst is the complementary breakfast. It was absolutely disgusting with unprepared food, no staff present, no butter, no fresh bread, no fresh coffee- just heated food from days before and cakes with old dates, claimed to be home made- still old. Eggs raw poured in a heater to become scrambled eggs, and this is 10 minutes after opening. The worst I have seen to be honest.

I have never experienced such a badly run 4 star spa hotel.

Er was een bruiloft bezig. We werden met onze spullen door een zij ingang naar binnen gebracht, door een zéér geïrriteerde dame.

I liked the quiet countryside but the hotel does have wedding ceremonies which are noisy and affected the service we received

Menu was good but little variance from one day to another

Hotel is out in the country and taxis were impossible to get cheaply. We were offered taxis from Torino at €70.


Recommend strongly to get your own car

Everything was delicious, good service and beautiful location. It was a little difficult to find the restaurant as there was a wedding taking place the same evening. Highly recommended.

Siamo stati qui per un matrimonio e poi abbiamo soggiornato una notte nell'hotel.

Très belle hôtel, mais attention il y a certaines petites choses à revoir notamment au niveau propreté à mon arrivé la chambre n été pas très propre j étais un surpris pareil très compliqué de trouver une personne pour trouver un serveur pour prendre un simple café on dirait qu il un peu de personnel, pour ces petites choses. Ce sont des détails mais qui peuvent avoir de l importance. Mais bon dans l ensemble le personnel et très sympathique et serviable
donc je recommande sans souci. Encore pour votre accueil

La struttura è molto bella anche se in certi punti un po’ datata. Gli spazi comuni sono arredati con poco gusto e piuttosto anonimo.
La camera fredda e poco coerente col luogo.
Amenities mancanti (no shampoo e doccia schiuma), lenzuola abrasive.
Location dedicata a eventi (matrimoni e battesimi) a tal punto che gli ospiti della struttura devono uscire da corridoi sotterranei perché la location non prevede un’accoglienza separata tra gli ospiti del hotel e dell’evento…
Lo spazio spa è la piscina lasciano a desiderare.
Peccato perché per la location che è basterebbe davvero poco per renderlo un posto speciale.

We had our wedding weekend celebration & got married at Castello di Montaldo. It was by no means an easy wedding to plan & execute (especially within 5 months), but without Ada and her amazing staff, we would not have had the most perfect, fun, delicious, & joyous experience. My husband & I live in Czech Republic, but I am Italian so we decided to get married in my favorite city, Torino. We had guests flying in from the USA & Czech Republic, & many friends & family from the greater Turin area. Ada & Paolo, especially, held our hands from start to finish with professionalism, knowledge, integrity & experience. They work with an amazing professional service staff including Nadia, Manuela, Sara, Abdel, Riccardo, Alice, and so, so many awesome people. From Reception to the Restaurant, we were treated like a royal couple and our guests were catered to and accommodated with optimal care, assistance, & professionalism. The Executive Chef is Piero Caniglia & LITERALLY everything he creates is beyond words. I have lost count how many meals I have eaten there (Enoteca Crotin), but I have never eaten anything that I didn't absolutely love. The food is resplendent. Our wedding menu was perfection & they made sure to satisfy any guests' preferences or food sensitivities. Guests raved about our cake, the location, the beauty & comfort of the rooms, the panorama, the spa, the food, & especially the service. Very clean, spacious, peaceful and the perfect wedding venue because of the hotel. We had approximately 25 guests from the US and 25 from Czechia. Some Italian family also stayed the night of the event. We will definitely return to relax and visit our Castello di Montaldo family. Breakfast was also really amazing - fresh, homemade, and Sara was a joy to see in the morning. We are so grateful to Castello di Montaldo. If you are thinking of a destination wedding with guests from all over, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!

Atmosfera particolarissima in questo castello che in realtà è un hotel coi fiocchi, servizio e camera curati e pagati il giusto direi. Consigliato

Location davvero splendida, abbiamo trascorso una sola notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto rimanere di più

bello e romantico, una piccola fuga d'amore che ci voleva proprio. ottimo e piacevolissimo soggiorno!

a me è piaciuto da matti, romantico, elegante e davvero curato...il prezzo comunque sia era decisamente conveniente
