Hotel Friedrichs

Ich war restlos begeistert. Ruhige und reizvolle Lage direkt am Ufer der Urft. Sehr sauber und alles neu renoviert. Gutes Essen und sehr freundlicher Service.

Prima hotel en heel vriendelijk personeel. Verzorgd en niet lang geleden gerenoveerd vermoeden we. Midden in centrum. Toch ook een paar kleine aandachtspunten. Kamer was best wel klein en dan is het niet handig dat er her en der paar kleine vaasjes met een bloem staan. Leuk voor de aankleding, maar niet praktisch. Het was heel warm toen wij er waren en het grote raam kregen we (mede hierdoor) niet gemakkelijk helemaal open. Ander dingetje was het ontbijtbuffet: heel compleet en lekker, maar niet alles werd even snel aangevuld. Op de croissantjes hebben we niet meer gewacht. Kortom, prima hotel, aanrader. Qua prijs/kwaliteit misschien iets aan de dure kant

There is no wi-fi working in this hotel, do not be fooled by the free internet option. Also, we were not told that the sauna was not working, and actually, we chose this place for the sauna, and pay for something we did not get. We were not told that we have to pay for our small dog to be hosted, but charged when we checked out. I cant recommend this hotel unfortunately, for sure there are other places around much better. The reception is closing before 8 PM!!! So there was nobody to help with the internat connection in the evenings, when we came back to the room and wanted to relax (we didnt care about all the german tv channels).

Zunächst einmal: der Check-In war okay.
Das Zimmer entsprach überhaupt nicht den 4 Sternen:
kein Kühlschrank - kein Sessel...
Das Badezimmer mit ca. 80 cm Breite eignete sich kaum zum Umdrehen...
Zweimal in drei Tagen mussten wir die laufende WC-Spülung bemängeln...
Das Shampoo war nur für einen Tag vorhanden und musste nachgeordert werden...
Die Rezeption war lediglich bis 20:00 Uhr besetzt.
Am Montag ab 18:00 Uhr gar nicht mehr - weder persönlich noch telefonisch war irgendjemand zu erreichen.
Während des Restaurantbetriebs konnte man aufgrund des lauten Abluftsystems nicht bei geöffneten Fenster schlafen.
Fazit: dieses Hotel verdient absolut keine 4 Sterne - der Preis ist in meinen Augen völlig überhöht - wir werden dieses Hotel nie wieder in Anspruch nehmen.
Schade eigentlich - laut Beschreibung sah es "sehr nett" aus...

The staff were very friendly and made a concerted effort to keep distance between people. The breakfast and dinner was diverse and well prepared. The hotel was easy walking distance to other restaurants, groceries, and The Eifel National Park.

Super hotel, restaurant 1a, Sauna klasse, nur zu empfehlen

Weekend in dit hotel doorgebracht. Ruime kamer op de 2e etage. Hond was welkom, maar na het boeken werden er wel regels toegestuurd. Ontbijt was op zich goed, alleen werd er na 10:00 uur niets meer bijgevuld, terwijl het ontbijt van half acht tot half elf was. Mooie rustige locatie en goede gratis parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel.

Nice clean hotel. Good location in a small village. A convenient starting point if you would like to discover the Eifel natural park.

Schönes, gepflegtes und Zentral gelegenes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind modern, sehr sauber aber relativ schlicht.
Das Personal ist von der Rezeption bis zum Zimmermädchen freundlich und hilfsbereit gewesen.

Mycket fint och prydligt hotell, med trevlig personal. Rekommenderas varmt!

Hotel aan het water in het plaatsje vlakbij het winkelstraatje

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen im Ortskern von Gemünd.Unser Anreisegrund war der Oldtimer Grand Prix auf dem Nürburgring.Aber ich denke man kann dort aber auch viel wandern und einige andere Sehenswürdigkeiten besuchen.

Kurz und Knackig , eine Wanderer Übernachtung mit ordentlich LUXUS. Es war eine schöne Erholung nach dem anstrengenden Weg.

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße an der Urft.
Unser Zimmer war sauber und in gutem Zustand.
Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück war ausreichend.
Die Trittschalldämmung sollte wenn möglich bitte optimiert werden.

Staff is perfect, suite not so. (2.5 if I could give it a rating)
The (really) bad stuff. (130ish for a suite that is really 3-3.5 stars)

I planned a 5 day stay in this hotel for a break with my girlfriend but we shortened it as

- the beds were so hard we both got hardly any sleeps and painful back and hips.
- Bathroom was to small, hardly any space to put toiletries in (enough for one),
- I had to ask for trash-bin for the restroom
- I had to ask for a table for the bathroom as we could not put our toiletries in the bathroom.
- Shower cabin was a nightmare, so small that even my girlfriend (who is small) could not move around to do her stuff. - The TV only shows German stations.
- The extra room had a couch (nice) and a table and two chairs (not so much) and one cupboard (which could not hold both my girlfriends and my clothes, shoes etc).
- There is no coffee / tea maker (in this day and age that is a no no),
-There is no fridge (so no cold beverages or perishable stuff in the room)
- No Airco (in the summer it will get nightmarishly hot
- There was NO curtain in the bathroom (WEIRD!!!) so the neighbours could look in. Had to ask for it specifically
- Price is way to high (A castle hotel in Vaals asks 30 Euro’s less and is a full4-5* (staff not so nice though)
- Internet is available but at a 28k8 modem speed. So don’t expect to look at Netflix or similar service
- Remote cover was missing so the bat

Gut ausgestatteter, gepflegter Saunabereich; liebevoll geführtes Hotel; klasse Frühstück; zuvorkommendes, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal; tolle Rangertouren im Nationalpark Eifel.
Gerne wieder!!!

Prima Hotel als uitvalsbasis voor bezoek aan de Eifel. Rustig gelegen ondanks plaats in het centrum.Goede keuken. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzaam personeel.
