We didn’t use the breakfast facility. We usually bring our own food.
The HVAC unit was a bit loud (fan/blower)
Location was nice and peaceful. Was accommodated for what I requested. The early check in option for a fee was amazing as I really was stressed about a later check-in.
N/A
Location for the beach and in a quiet area. Having mini breakfast available. Clean rooms.
People having out in parkinglot. Making comments and hanging out. Contract workers from out of town staying.
The location was good.
They have no coffee with caffeine available at all, and there selection of breakfast items was so limited, we opted to go to a local restaurant for breakfast instead.
When we asked the manager for a dining recommendation, he could not help us. He should do some research on local dining establishments to be able to answer questions like this.
The was just the right size and the beds were great too.
Staff was helpful it was clean
The hot breakfast was not good at all. The filter on the pool was not on and the bed was a little stiff.
Convenient, I like staying on the second floor so nobody is above me walking, place was clean and had a bonus that you could go fishing in there recreation area.
the only thing is that initially when the air-conditioning had a musty sort of smell but I turned to lower temperature that seems to get rid of it.
The staff was very helpful and courteous
The room was comfortable
Breakfast was free
We enjoyed the pool
The bathroom door had a broken loose handle and would stick.
The ice machine was very loud and we were not right next to it but could hear it most of the night.
Although I appreciated the free breakfast it could have been better because the eggs and the sausage were cold so I had to heat those back up.
Clean and friendly staff
Coffee maker not working
We stayed at AmericInn twice during our recent travels, and let’s just say it’s the hotel equivalent of that reliable friend who shows up in sweatpants but always brings snacks. Nothing fancy, but reasonably priced and accommodating.
Round One was a winner. Our upstairs room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed after a long day of sailing. Fresh sheets, no weird smells, and a bed that didn’t stage a rebellion overnight. We were happy campers.
Round Two started with a hiccup. This time the room greeted us with a distinct musty aroma (think “leaky basement after a rainy week”) and a bathroom door that required a full NFL linebacker slam to close properly. We mentioned it to the front desk and they helped us switch rooms. The new room was back to “perfectly fine” territory.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel offers some useful perks for the price: an indoor pool, laundry machines, and a lobby area with tables and a few games. It’s not a resort, but it’s practical and gets the job done.
As for “breakfast”… sigh. Both mornings delivered the same sad continental spread experience. The muffins looked like they were contemplating their life choices, the eggs had the texture of regret, and even the waffle batter was wrong. Next time we’re definitely smuggling in better snacks.
All in all, the staff is consistently friendly and helpful, the price is reasonable for what you get, and the location worked well for our needs. Would we stay a third time? Probably — especially if we can request an upstairs room and hit the local diner for breakfast. It’s not luxury but beats a cramped V-berth.
10/10 for the front desk clerk, 2/10 for the breakfast. Pack patience (and maybe a banana).
It was a nice location.
We were supposed to get a king bed but they gave us two queens.
This hotel is by itself by the water, so it was quiet. We had a king suite corner room and it was huge. Bathroom counter was large, which I like. Room was clean and staff was nice, but didn't speak English very well. The smoke from the wildfires prevented us from being outside. The windows and sliding glass door needs cleans and screen repaired, but other than that the place was clean and had what we needed for 1 night. Bed was okay, mattress was thin and just on a rail like another viewer showed/stated. Breakfast was not very good - not many choices and very bland, but otherwise for the price it was a good.
Sad to say the photos were very misleading. Rooms were dirty and dusty that you could write messages in the dust. Room windows had screens falling out, bent, or missing. The lobby floor was always sticky and food area lacked maintenance. The juices are served in Rubbermaid containers that I had to mix myself one morning. The staff would heat platers of eggs and sausage in the lobby microwave. Pool area was dim and looked like it hasn't been maintained. There is no clear path to the outdoor area at the back by the river. Lack of lighting in that area. If I absolutely had no other choice I would consider staying there again.
Location was great.
Could fish on the property nice fishing area.
