Staff we good and helpful
The room was very small, stuffy, with no windows. Request to change was met with, no rooms were available. It's definitely not worth the price.

Bathroom v small
Very dirty, our first room had a very old AC unit that did not work so we got moved to another room which smelt very badly of smoke. The rooms were unclean, coat hangers in the wardrobe were sticky with dirt, the floors looked like they had not been mopped in a long time, the toilet was dirty. Not recommended!
The exterior is nice and the access to it is not congested. We arrived early and they were happy to store our bags until checkin time while we went out for a bit. Most likely, they'd have made a room available early had we asked for it. Friendly staff helped overcome our initial anxiety on realizing that the place is run by a minority community (which I don't mind at all but also didn't expect given the name Regal Palace).
The pictures of the room shown at the time of booking are nice. My bad for not noticing that the selected room had no windows (who would have thought?). Also the interior paint wasn't as nice as shown. It had damp areas. Breakfast quality wasn't great; oily puris and insipid idly chutney on our day. Location wise, it is a short taxi ride to any place in SoBo but it is not easily walkable to the beach because it is on the other side of the railway tracks.
Decent. But price should be around 2200-2500/night for this kind of stay.
