McKays Hotel Bar & Restaurant

Stayed in the Townhouse. Clean fresh decor in entrance and room was bright and comfortable.
Staff friendly, polite and helpful.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Poor parking.
Bathroom basin too small. Basin tap loose.
Bedroom window didn’t close, meaning that every passing train woke me up.
Food was good.
Servers friendly and helpful.

Bed very uncomfortable, like sleeping on a slab, room decor was a bit tired, bathroom was very small, water pressure in the shower was poor and the sink was about the size of a soup bowl. The staff were very nice and breakfast was pretty good. Wouldn't visit again.

We stayed in the lodge opposite the bar. There was building work going on downstairs but didn’t interfere with our stay. Really nice room on top floor. Only negative is the tv was very small. Food at the pub was lovely.

Room was modern and clean. Restaurant food was very good, with great variety.

Nice, cozy and convenient, but it has limited access to the hotel, no lift, no parking!

The room I was assigned to was in a property across the street from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but was on the third floor with no elevator. Luckily, the gentleman that checked me in helped me get my luggage up the stairs, unfortunately, I was on my own when checking out. As a single, 64 year old woman, this was a struggle.
Breakfast was included and was excellent, as was the staff serving in the dining room. McKays is conveniently located near the train station and bus stops, mega shopping and dining options as well as the Pitlochry Festival Theater.

The cottage at the hotel was great for us as a family of 5. It meant we had plenty of space but also use of hotel facilities as well - best of both worlds.

We stayed for 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We stayed in the town house across from the main hotel. The room was large and comfortable. I think it had just been updated. The bathroom was small but servicable. The bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast had a huge selection and was cooked to order and therefore fresh and plentiful. We had dinner in the restaurant on the second night and it was well presented and tasty. The staff were were professional , friendly and helpful.
