Spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel, just 2 minutes from the beach. Full of history the building has been thoughtfully adapted to being a hotel. We visited during the winter month of July and the place was quiet. The restaurant was busy, so the place is a popular eatery for locals.
The room was clean and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and they even provided warm hot water bottles at turn down service, which was a nice surprise.
The only downside was that they experienced a power failure, due to no fault of their making, which meant that the Wi- Fi did not always work and the lighting was limited for 24 hours. It also effected the evening meal service as they could not use the oven only the hob, but the managed the situation very well.
We would quite happily recommend the Old Rectory to friends.

Everything we wanted and more. Location, history of building, very efficient staff who were friendly. Very , very close to beach and walk in to town. Room was excellent and very quiet.
Beautiful. Located in the heart of Plett and a quick stroll away from the beach, yet in an amazingly tranquil spot, surrounded by greenery and ancient trees. The staff were outstanding.
Stunningly good hotel from the staff to the food and the amazingly comfortable rooms and bed. Tranquil gardens/pool areas flanked by the outdoor restaurant area. Very close to the stunning beach. Short uphill walk to the main town/restaurants and high street area. Would highly recommend.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices.

The room had no seating area other than one chair (and the bed). It would be nice to have at least 2 chairs inside and/or a small couch.
Our stay at The Old Rectory was a wonderful way to end our South Africa trip. From the minute we arrived, everyone made every effort to ensure we had total customer satisfaction - and they succeeded completely. A huge thank you to Leon and his team for such a wonderful experience.
