Beliggenhed og personale var i top.
Der var meget varmt, men ingen aircondition – så en ventilator ville have hjulpet meget.
Our room was on the lower ground floor and the windows didn't open and it was very hot. However the staff gave us a fan when we asked for one.
It's VERY tired and dated. The bathroom shower screen was there but ineffectual so water ended up all over the floor. The shower head is fixed so my very tall husband couldn't adjust the shower to his height. The WiFi was shockingly slow. Breakfast is token and average. Having spent almost 50% less in a budget hotel chain close by yesterday and had a far superior stay, the only plus was the proximity to the venue we needed to be at yesterday!
The hotel was right by the river, had parking and was a 10 min walk into the city centre so perfect location. There is a swimming pool/lido 100 yards up the road.
They seemed under staffed. The hotel room was very stuffy and we had to request a fan.
The breakfast was not laid out well and we had to request cups for the tea and coffee.
A good location to visit the City and University
The bedroom was very hot. It was also described a large but was quite limited in space. No air conditioning and it was not possible to open the windows
Great location and the breakfast was good
Perfect walkable location with parking, easy to get to friendly staff, good rooms and breakfast, will definitely stay again
Excellent location. Terrible breakfast experiences. Lazy, disinterested breakfast room staff. Pungent, mouldy smell at the entrance to the "suites". Some rooms are only accessible via very steep stairs, not suitable for elderly or infirm. "smart" young male receptionist dealt with my query about a defunct fridge in my room with insolence. He removed the fridge for the entirety of my stay - please see the attached photograph.
Close proximity to Cambridge Town centre. Lounge was nice, restaurant and bar areas were nice.
Unfortunately, we stayed in room 211 which was directly above the extraction fan from the kitchen. We had ambient temperatures above 30 degrees and therefore had to endure the constant drone of the the unit. No fans were available and there was no air conditioner, so no choice but to open window.
We cut our stay short as we couldn't put up with it any more. Not sure if the hotel were to bothered by a customer checking out early 🤔. Room size also seemed smaller than advertised and the outside photos were definitely there to miss lead customers. I've added a couple showing the reality.
Hotel was nice- breakfast was good
Having booked what looked like a lovely hotel with views over the river, we were put in the annex which was basically a large shed overlooking a car park. Staff were good just not what we were expecting. There wasn’t any mention on the website of an annex!
Second booking. Com disappointment in a row perhaps you need to review how you present the hotels you offer. Think of not using booking.com in the future
The breakfast ingredients were very basic and the coffee did flow nicely — the best part was the glass conservatory and garden setting for the breakfast.
It is quite noisy along the street, when your windows are open — necessary when the temperatures are warm.
Location and easy parking although the parking was expensive
Hotel is badly in need of a refurbishment
Near to river, and walking distance to shops.
Drab old-fashioned decor and no air conditioning, nor fan available during a heatwave. Shower room needs re-grouting. Shower dripped noisily.
The room I was in was on the road side - very unluckily there was a students' ball going on all night. Noisy! including fireworks. so had to choose between noise or suffocation, by opening the window the little way that it opened.
everything
none
