Staff very unfriendly, decor from the 1970’s, rooms small very dated and in desperate need of updating. Wifi very patchy. As for breakfast - dont bother!! absolutely shocking, basically bread/toast stale muffins and boxed cereal. The bar shuts at 10pm would definitely not recommend
What a disgrace
Faulty towers at its best
Rooms hot musty and very noisy
Asked for Bloody Mary and non English speaking waiter told us
No cocktails!!
Waited 25 minutes for service
No one else in restaurant
Small plate of green vegetables $14 oz dollars
Frozen watery limp and cold
Asked for pepper salt or butter
Didn’t see waiter again
At over $300 a night you can find better
England lift your game!!
Every thing were beautiful.
Execpt wi-fi facility.
Location was excellent
Connection to public transport
Good location
Not clean. Full of dust, dirty carpet.
Location is fab
Room tired. Also didn't like the fire escape steps leading to the room which meant I wasn't comfortable leaving the window open, and it was so hot. Very expensive for the condition of hotel, and a Continental Breakfast was not appealing.
Great location with a good restaurant and comfortable beds
We paid twice for the room. Once with Bookings.com and again on arrival. Nothing has been re-imbursed so it cost twice as much as it should have done
Not a bad hotel. Location is fine and room is spacious. Attendance is also fine.
The issue are that the hotel is old in a bad way, many stairs, narrow corridors, and the breakfast is very poor.
Recommended if the price is very low...
Great location and very helpful staff.
Very dated property that desperately needs updating. Worn carpets, worn furniture, no 21st century facilities like USB chargers and a general air that no one loves this hotel any more. We did stay during a heatwave and staff were so helpful in finding us a cooler room, but the first room in the main building was absolutely intolerable. No fans and no AC anywhere in the building made the whole experience rather sweaty. Give this hotel some love and updates and it would be excellent, but as it is it’s merely vaguely acceptable, mainly due to the location.
Good facilities
The bar closing at 22.00 is far too early. The breakfast finishing at 09.30 is also too early.
Good location for Cambridge, staff pleasant. Hotel very dated. Carpet and stairs need attention up to 3rd floor. Not for anyone with mobility issues. No lift. No air con. Window in our room opened but sash broken so wouldn’t stay open unless propped up. Shower pressure not brilliant but adequate. Rooms looked a little shabby, dust on mirror and rubbish under chair. TV was weirdly placed on side wall so couldn’t watch it in bed. Didn’t realise about the parking charge £18 if you don’t book direct. Was advised if booked direct would have been free. This is the 3rd time we have stayed last time years ago. I wouldn’t book again for the price we paid £200 for 3 bed room. Plus £18 for parking.
It was close to town and by the river
It was extremely dated and they didn’t like us booking through booking.com and we felt like there was hidden extras ie charging for parking and although it said breakfast for a full English it was an extra charge. This hotel needs a full renovation.
La ubicación y la decoración muy británica.
Hacía mucho calor...la moqueta y las cortinas no ayudaban, se podía cortar el aire.
