Mini break in Cambridge
Pros:

It was fairly close to the centre and overlooking the river.
I liked the continental breakfast.

Cons:

It was a little old fashioned but very pleasant.

Classic Cambridge stay
Pros:

Great location, easy access to the old heart of Cambs, and very well placed for the beautiful Jesus Green Lido.

Cons:

Very few negatives, a classic Cambridge/English hotel experience with very patient staff.

Enjoyable Stay

Visit to a friends’ reunion at a College located near to the Hotel. Several attendees stayed at the Hotel.

Worst breakfast I have had in any hotel and I stay in 2-3 hotels a week across the UK and Europe, continental was the description which consisted of a pot of luke warm coffee, some sliced cheese, toast, a bowl of croissants. Would advise the hotel to go to Europe and see what a real continental breakfast looks like. At £169 for the room including parking is not exactly cheep. We were working in the bar area in the afternoon which never opened, couldn't even get a coffee.

It was a great stay for its location.
Very tired and not the cleanest.. housekeeping staff were lovely but needed at least 2 more..

Pros:

De stijl van het interieur : ouderwets maar toch stijlvol.

Cons:

Er was geen lift. Je moet je zware koffer dus alleen via de smalle met tapijt bedekte tredes naar boven hijsen.
De kamer was heel klein, het bed te kort en te smal
De kranen in de badkamer waren geen mengkranen en werkten niet goed.
De afvoer van de douche was verstopt.
Verschillende lichtpunten in de kamer werkten niet
Een hotel met heel veel nood aan een ingrijpende renovatie.
Het ontbijt was ondermaats. Veel pakjes en zakjes, weinig verse producten, slechte koffie.

Luxurious room, wonderful deep tub. Loved the room lighting--beside bed and sconces at desk.
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent. Lovely location. Enjoyed walking in the park.
Kind and helpful front desk help.
Appreciate left luggage for a few hours on checkout date.
Appreciated the front desk calling a cab for us to get to train station.

Cons:

Was not expecting so many stairs to walk with luggage to check into our room.

A hotel that has steadily gone down hill since I first stayed there 35 years ago.
Pros:

Good position opposite Jesus Green, as easy walk into town.

Cons:

Hotel is tired, poky room with tiny double bed in annex that looks like a shed, damaged, worn out furniture, flimsy walls, creaking floor boards and banging doors. Staff were completely uninterested in the comfort of their guests. A hotel that is run for maximum profit for minimum comfort and service.

Comfortable, v efficient and helpful staff, brilliant location
Pros:

The hotel remains as it has been for some years: not posh, not modern or flashy, a bit outdated in ways. But very comfortable and good staff. Good parking and brilliant location for access to centre of town and the colleges.
