I stay here quite often to visit family in Cambridge. The hotel meets my needs, especially location
Pros:

Room comfortable. It was a large single room, with an en suite shower room.

Cons:

I had planned to have a quick bath on arrival as it was a warm day, but the en suite bathroom only had a shower and the shower head was fixed in position, so I could not have had a shower without also washing my hair, which I did not want to do.
The toaster at breakfast either undercooked toast on one circuit, or burnt it on the second circuit. Surely this is not that hard to get right?

Handy location for a Music Gig for out of town musicians
Pros:

Was very close to the venue that my husband’s band were playing at. And great that it had parking.

Cons:

The bar wasn’t open late.. which seems unusual for a hotel in Cambridge.

Great place for 1 or 2 nights to explore Cambridge
Pros:

Within short walk of town, easy to reach by car, generous parking, nice restaurant and gardens. Great meal and drink deals

We enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel in a fabulous location with parking. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good.

Cons:

It was a very hot day. Room was unbearably hot as there was no air conditioning. We were provided with ice which soon melted due to lack of a mini fridge or ice bucket.

An excellent bargain
Pros:

Better than expected buffet breakfast

There was no hairdryer despite the website stating that these are provided

Magic Arundel House Hotel
Pros:

Location and facilities were excellent with great continental breakfast.The restaurant and bar/ lounge area was lovely. On site paid parking was a bonus.
The staff were all friendly and happy.
Thank you for your hospitality.

Pros:

Location is excellent

Cons:

The large double room had a very small bed for two people. The room was hot and stuffy. There is no AC. We asked for a fan but they said they didn’t have one. We had to sleep with the windows open at street level, which was impossible due to the noise.

Pros:

Hotel is clean and the continental breakfast is nice, staff where friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Shop and town 15 to 20 min walk away, so if you have difficulty walking far book hotel closer to town. Our room was small and not directly on the hotel but across the courtyard I think this was because I booked a small room would book large room next time

Great location by the river but just a bit tired & quite expensive!
Pros:

Great location, comfortable room & friendly staff, good breakfasts

Cons:

The front steps & garden have weeds , doesnt look cared for, decor is very dated & the gardens need a makeover, cheap white plastic outdoor furniture disappointing

Wonderful spot, great location, comfortable beds and spacious rooms, decor a bit tired, functional.
Pros:

Room off street, quiet and very comfortable. Beds/pillows very nice. Wonderful breakfast and dinner.

Cons:

Must get down early for breakfast 0700-1000 on weekend, food/dishes not replenished without request after 0930.

Retro, fun but with same old inconveniences
Pros:

A very retro style traditional British hotel. Fun if you enjoy the nostalgia of dated fabrics, carpet and interiors. I did🤭

Cons:

The room was very hot, the rest of the hotel was hot and breakfast was not kept cool. Youghurt pots were left out and lukewarm warm.
Breakfast had tentative staff but extremely limited options for a breakfast in Europe!

Good location
Pros:

Location was perfect a short walk over the river across the park to the town.

Cons:

A little tired and shabby in parts but very clean. No cooked breakfast.
