Great choice for this short visit !
Pros:

Great location. We were going to a concert at the Moda center. We opted to walk, which was about 20 minutes over the bridge. That was also enjoyable. I really appreciate the staff. Very friendly and attentive. Immediately got a text. Just checking in and asking if everything was in order with the room and if we needed anything. It wasn’t just auto generated. I had a prompt response after I replied. The breakfast was enjoyable and there were several options. Coffee and decaf coffee available all hours. It Was great to have a nice cup of decaf on a cold evening after the concert. Our room was really comfortable very clean ,nicely decorated. Will definitely stay here again.

Cons:

The one thing I would change and only if I was staying more than one night, would be to ask for an additional chair in the room. They have a nice desk/table area with one rolling chair, but to enjoy a meal with my wife seated together, there is only a loveseat with a small table , or the larger desk area with one chair… we ended up pulling the chair over and using that as a separate side table and sat on the loveseat to have dinner. Otherwise perfect for us.
Parking wasn’t an issue because we came in the evening ,we had free parking 7pm-8am . Used the app they recommended , Parking Kitty, and we were able to pay for parking from the room .
If I was staying longer I would probably opt for the valet parking.

GREAT location, but please replace the bathroom barn doors
Pros:

The location is fabulous, right in the center of Portland's Pearl District. We were there for a concert at the Moda Center and it was an easy and relatively safe walk over the bridge to the venue. The rooms were exactly as you expect from a Hampton Inn - clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Who thought that barn doors would be a good idea for a hotel bathroom?? I've seen this in several Hampton Inns and it's horrible. It severely limits privacy, noise, etc. There's a giant gap when you 'close' the door. Horrible when you are travelling with others. Also, even more annoying is the automatic BRIGHT light that comes on when you enter the bathroom... in the middle of the night it's glaring, eyeball burning and wakes up other guests in the room. AWFUL.

Robbed Hotel Customers
Cons:

There are a lot of homeless people around the hotel. They broke our car window and stole our belongings. Be careful if you stay at Hampton. Nobody cared about us. The hotel didn’t care either.

Good hotel, great for kids!
Pros:

Location to the zoo. Breakfast was terrific!

Cons:

Homeless population around Portland. Didn’t feel comfortable walking around at all. Not the hotel’s fault. It’s the city of Portland’s fault.
