Nothing. The staff were nice I
The room was adjacent to an outside smoking area... Therefore I couldn't open the window for fresh air. No where to hang clothes. I wasn't given the upgrade which I agreed to take. The towel rack fell off the wall. The tap was very loose (afraid it was going to fall off) Requested a late checkout (30 minutes) which was refused unless I paid a full day. The room staff knocked on my door to leave room right on check out time, to which I replied with give me 5 minutes, but continued to knock.
Clean good location friendly helpful staff good for the cost
Would have liked to open windows but mosquitoes with no screens
Well located with numerous shops nearby & not far from the beach
Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned well - if at all
Location and area
Staff wasnt helpfull and hospitable. No interest or kindness shown.
Location is well-served by frequent buses and within easy reach by bus of Bronte and Coogee beaches and Bondi Junction shopping. The pub downstairs is bright and friendly, Also nearby is another pub, cafes, a small supermarket, bakeries, eateries, and convenience store.
No bedside table and no other table at all. Nowhere to place luggage except on the floor, nowhere to hang clothes (no closet, rack or anything), no hooks, Furniture was just the bed, one chair and a small towel rail in the bathroom. Also no aircon, only a fan.
To give the cleaner some credit the room was clean, however it had a humid, musty smell. The room was hot and humid with only a loud fan to circulate the humid heat further. A large unsecure window faced onto the roof garden. We had to keep the window open throughout the night to get some air. The TV didn’t operate due to the lack of signal because there was no where to plug in the aerial. The furniture was old and tired. The condition of the room does not reflect the décor and environment of the pub/bar downstairs. Thankfully our room wasn't located on the very busy intersection main road.
We realise the prime Sydney location but we don't believe there is any reason not to improve the accommodation.
Bed was broken and very uncomfortable, mold all over the shower curtains.
Clean, comfortable rooms above a pub. Lovely staff, good meals and cold drinks at the bar. What else do you want?
Rooms are a little stuffy. Go downstairs and have a beer.
Comfortable, clean room. Slight noise from downstairs, hardly noticeable. Chilli Prawn Pizza for dinner - GREAT, just a hint of heat. GUINNESS ON TAP in the bar downstairs - BEAUTIFUL!!
Not the first stay. Always happy with location , staff and facilities
Small problem. I slept on the bottom bunk and there was an annoying SQUEEK every time I moved.
Nothing- dreadful
The room was dirty and smelt overpoweringly of urine.
Rusty or broken items ( kettle etc)
Fire alarm went off at 6.30am - no fire safety signs, no fire exits and no one arrived to check the building or that customers were safe. We were never told it was a false alarm and spent one hour on the street in our pj’s. Left the building. , as not confident we were safe.
The room was large clean and comfortable.
The location was so noisy. My room faced a 5 way intersection with busy traffic most of the night. Other pubs I have stayed at had double glazed windows which blocked out nearly all of the noise. I am lucky I took earplugs, otherwise I would bearly have slept.
