Catirga Konak Apartments

Day we arrived it was impossible to contact anyone for two hours to let us inside because it does not have reception. Number we had was unreachable.
After finding another number to contact nobody was speaking the single word of English which is common in Turkey but if you rent an apartment should take care of it I think.
We were allocated in the wrong apartment and were able to switch after owner answered on our calls. We got apologies and he sent the guy who took us to the correct one the night of first day of our stay.
We paid double price for the apartment with two balconies which is for me pretty much the same one on the ground floor so would not recommend to pay double for it.
The plates and mugs had a stains and had to clean them properly before using.
Noise is coming from everywhere even though nobody was staying in the house other than us. AC needs a maintenance making a weird noice while night. Thank god I had earplugs with me.

Переулок не очень удобен.

Минусов не заметили, для нас идеально;
Кому-то может быть сложен крутой подъём в горку, но в этом районе везде так. Для нас — не проблема; наоборот, хорошая тренировочка)

Am simtit de multe ori in dormitor fumul de tigara venind de la vecin prin perete??!! Ciudat!

В комнате на первом этаже было не совсем чисто , кондиционер в спальне был грязный и очень шумел , есть запах канализации в ванной , очень тусклый свет, плохая шумоизоляция

Es gibt keinen Backofen. Die Küchenutensilien sind nicht übermäßig gut ausgestattet um zu kochen.

It was scary to book an apartment with a score of only 8.1, but it turned out that the apartment was great. Many people wrote that the neighbors could be heard loudly, but I wouldn't say that. Also, many people wrote that the area is dirty, and it really is. But there are local shoe manufacturers in the area, which makes the area look very colorful and interesting, and I personally wasn't upset by the dirt.

Cons:
– The floors creak

The street outside is quite steep and needs reasonable fitness and good mobility to access the apartment.

The exterior of the building didn't match the pictures on booking.com.
The interior wooden floors were a major concern as it caused loud noises when walking. This was a problem when sleeping or just when you were in the apartment.

Absolutely perfect!

We booked the ground floor, but this is actually the basement of the building.
The apartment was very dark with very limited natural light, and the light of the lamps was also limited.
The building is made from wood so there are lots of noises when there is movement in the house. The guests on the floor above were constantly walking and moving furnitures at any time of the night ( from 2 am to 6 am), and we had a decent sleep only one night out of six. We woke up so many times during the night because of the noises and we were not able to rest over our staying.
The outside area is not inviting as in the pictured, as it is surrounded by buildings, and again very dark, and not well maintained.
The location of the apartment is a walking distant from many landmarks, but the area itself is really poor.

There were some downsides. The renovation looked a bit worn out, and the floor was creaky. This could be a problem if you have small children because it is noisy. The bathroom was not clean, especially the tiles in the shower. Additionally, the balcony had not been cleaned in a long time, with a big pile of bird droppings just under the door left unaddressed. Another downside for some people might be the dim lighting. A thorough cleaning of the room would be very beneficial.
