Nice place
Got here at 2 am, got to my room and the door was jammed. Front desk also couldn’t get the door open. Was told maintenance won’t be able to come, and there wasn’t any other rooms available. They said they would refund me and there’s nothing else they could do. No voucher, no credit, no room. Just a my bad. Had to drive to the next city over to find somewhere to stay at 2am
Cleanliness
The pullout couch mattress was nothing but springs and very uncomfortable.
Nothing
Everything. It was the most disgusted hotel. I will tell everyone not to stay here.
The welcome
Breakfast didn't have much...
2 best things -
*the rooms are HUGE - esp the double queen room
*the washers and dryers don’t take physical money - there’s a QR code on each machine to pay - so easy.
Personnel inconsistency. We stayed one night and then circled back and stayed again a few nights later. The first time - the desk mgr and the person working the breakfast were awful. All the food ran out b4 breakfast was over - the mgr was oblivious to it all and when asked about it his only response was - well we only have one person in the kitchen.
The second night there, different desk mgr and different person in kitchen. Emma was the mgr and some guy with glasses and beard. They were on top of it and everything was great.
Service, comfort
The front desk clerk had a pleasant personality and was welcoming. It was quiet, and in a good location.
The elevator and hallways were dirty. There was bad odor in the hallways and I noticed food on the floor of the hallway on the way to my room. The sofa in our room was not clean. We didn't use it, so we did not notice until the day of our check out. The beds were very uncomfortable.
The location was nice. The room was very spacious but overall not very clean.
The couch in the room was horribly stained and didn’t not look like it had been cleaned. We found socks and other personal items left from the previous guests which implies the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. When asked about small wash towels the we were told that they didn’t have anymore. What hotel doesn’t have small towels? The hallway smelled horrible and there was leak from the ice machine.
Loved the location. Staff very responsive and friendly!
Pool needed a little assistance key fab didn't work
The convincing of a mini home with stove, refrigerator, and most importantly, a sofa bed.
Quick Access To walking distance restaurants and freeway.
Room 221 has a really bad leak on the A/C unit. It has a large puddle.
Even if you choose pay at hotel your money still gets taken out before you get there. Was supposed to add a discount when I got to the hotel and no one could help me either that because the payment was already made.
The location was convenient for exploring Wimberley, San Marcos, and the surrounding Hill Country attractions. Unfortunately, that was about the only positive from our stay. The overall cleanliness, lack of housekeeping, poor breakfast experience, dirty pool, and worn, stained furniture completely overshadowed any positives. We left extremely disappointed and would not choose to stay at this property again.
Unfortunately, almost every aspect of our stay was disappointing. The hotel was extremely dirty, from the stained, unvacuumed carpets to the stained furniture in both of our rooms and the breakfast area. Housekeeping never serviced our room after we requested towels, toilet paper, and trash removal, and we were told they had already left for the day. We were given only three towels for four people, and when we asked for more, the only towels available were pool towels that smelled like fish.
Breakfast was poorly managed. We arrived at 8:30 a.m.—well before it ended—and they were out of nearly everything, including eggs, sausage, hash browns, oatmeal, yogurt, juice, coffee, creamers, forks, and spoons. There appeared to be only one employee trying to manage the entire breakfast area, leaving many guests frustrated.
The pool was also unacceptable. It contained clumps of hair and floating trash, including food debris, and there was human feces inside the fenced pool area near the lounge chairs. Overall, this was the dirtiest, most poorly maintained Homewood Suites we've ever stayed in, and it did not meet the standards we expect from the Hilton brand.
