I went twice. I had to come back! It’s like home. Every person treats you like family.
If you want to spend all day in your room don’t come to Phetchabun. If you like to walk or rent a motorbike, exercise, visit attractions by renting a car or motorbike or arranging with the owner of the hotel… then do it!
Hotel is correct but the mattress is too much strong, and the bedroom area is too noisy also.
Car parking is at the door, that is so easy to carry on the luggages off the car.
Breakfast is local Thai food, and some toast and jam.
my second stay in this hotel. i like. good staff, kindly owner. cheap price, and good breskfast. i made reservation for wrong day no problem to cancel/switch some days later. they dont charge, whas helpfull. thx a lot!!!
This is a sweet little boutique hotel/home, two storey, hidden back off the Main Street. The location is great, bars, lounges, resturants and stores everywhere, even the bus depot is 5 blocks away. The place is quiet, clean, rooms are spacious and the staff will do everything you pretty much need or want. I found my bed a little hard but I like soft beds. The Owner is hands on, love this place. They have Asian breakfast but will make a good old Omelet for you. I extended my stay by 3 days more, this is a little gem of a place and so comfortable it’s like going home!
A Thai run hotel catering to Thai's.
Traditional old style Thai rooms - acceptable for a short stay but with no luxury.
Everything in the room was in working condition.
Staff were efficient.
Our room # 204 was next to the stair well ( no lifts ) and we heard everyone walking up the stairs and talking, from inside our room!!!
Breakfast was not acceptable - but for Thai's was OK.
At the end of the day for 600 Baht you get what you pay for.
We found a terrific restaurant located on the water about 300 metres away - cannot remember the name!
Probably would not stay here again.
This night we stay in this hotel. Quiet nice place. Very kindly staff. Small Breakfast bufet, i adked for omlett! And without problem get. Very good place too spend your visit in petchabun. I will come here again, on.my next trip... thx a lot!!
Great hotel great location would highly recommend this hotel nice clean rooms good showers fast internet what more can I say and bars and restaurants just round the corner the photo is of the owner who is a superman
Great location 100 meters from a small lake surrounded by restaurant//bars with great food and value, pleasant short walk around the lake. Good size rooms, great value less than15$ night, very friendly and helpful, the Lady owner insisted on making me an excellent omelet even though I was happy with the Thai breakfast included. The bed maybe abit firm for some but Ok for us.
Although we stayed here just for one night, when we next return to Phetchabun we'll definitely stay here again. The room is very spacious and clean, with full amenities. It's only a 50m walk to the local lake around which numerous bars, restaurants and beer gardens are located.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Mr Chartchai, who spoke fluent English and was most accommodating.
The hotel is at an excellent location in a quiet street, close to the market and some restaurants and bars (not beer bars)
Our big room had a small balcony with view of some green, shower with hot water and toiletries, fridge with free water, etc. There were a lot of mosquitos in our room; the bathroom windows wide open when we came. The beds were a bit hard but we slept well.
There was outside seating in front of the hotel, and a nice breakfast room, but the free breakfast was just the usual basic continental breakfast with some Thai food options. Service was friendly and always present.
We found this hotel via Trip Advisor as it had a good score and were not disappointed.
The first thing to say is unless you are using a taxi it is difficult to spot. An easy walk from the bus station past a lovely lake, it is on the right hand side of the lake before the end of it, down a side road. The well lit sign, which spans the road, is in Thai not English, so we did not spot it. The wall sign is also in Thai and not visible from the main road.
We did not book in advance, arrived around 8pm but there was no problem for the nice Thai night lady to book us in, although no English spoken.
Our double bedded room was huge, clean, with a/c, a huge fridge and nice shower room. It also had a small balcony but no balcony furniture. Really you would want to sit at a nearby bar and take in the atmosphere.
As mentioned in another review, the bed was rock hard as this is preferred by Thais and the breakfast was aimed at Thais. We asked for toast and they sent someone out to the shop to buy bread and jam. Otherwise it is rice, pork and vegetable soup and catfish. Tea was local but I used my own English tea. Coffee was instant. No decaffeinated (difficult to find in Thailand).
Whilst nosing around I found a room with spare mattresses and some were softer sprung ones, so we asked for a change for night #2.
Whilst at breakfast the 64 year old owner introduced himself, speaking good English. Charming man, he was the local Prefect until aged 60 so high up in local Government and obviously very good at dealing with people. He made it clear if we wanted anything he would try to help.
In reception there is a kettle you can get hot water from but no drink facilities or mugs in room. We travelled with a travel kettle, mugs and tea and coffee anyway so had the ability to use their kettle.
You can hand your laundry into reception and get it back same day. Not expensive.
Overall we found the hotel to be very clean, very spacious, and give it top marks. It was in a good position. The town is large so nowhere is perfect for walking everywhere but there are a range of bars and restaurants close by.
The room cost us 450 baht per night in late October 2016. At that time less than £11. Including breakfast such as it was and wifi which was very good.
They have twin, double and suites with settee and living area. All looked clean and in good condition. (I love having a nose around!)
I think if you use this place you ask immediately for soft mattress and offer to help get it if late at night and anything else ask....they seem quite receptive.
Room was big but not very clean. The price was cheap, so it is good, worth the stay and value of money. The place needs more maintenance, especially the yard.. It was a nice place to stay, simple but good.
A wonderful totally quiet hotel, managed by wonderful people.Need anything ? they will answer before you ask for. You' l feel not as a customer, but as a guest, that is the will of the owner.we stayed three nights, a very time we spent.
visiting family and stayed here 4 nights , breakfast is Thai food although you will get coffee & toast if you ask them , beds are like ironing boards but you sleep after traveling 17 hours lol ! Big room and had nice balcony were we watched squirrels eat from banana trees , loads of geekos outside and mossies galore , staff friendly but no English ! Would I stay again ? No
