Pros:

Staff were very friendly and the hotel felt modern. The hall area with snacks and drinks and tables was a very nice addition. The room wasn't big, but it was comfortable for one person with a suitcase. The bathroom also wasn't big but again, fine for one person and a suitcase. The staff replaced my towels and pajamas daily!

Cons:

This isn't a huge negative for me but do be aware that this hotel isn't that close to Kumamoto Station, so if you're planning day trips you may want to stay closer to the JR Station, or take buses/trains from closer stops (Torichosuji for buses and Suizenji for trains).

Great stay for people with a car
Pros:

Private parking was great and the same spot was saved for us for the entire stay
Feels clean and modern
Room feels spacious for its size
Sitting area with coffee and snacks was very convenient

Cons:

Air circulation in room could be better
A little far from city center
Bathroom was quite small and the sink is inside the shower
