Pros:

Hotel staff was really nice. Room was clean and AC worked well. They prepared a fresh good breakfast for us when we returned from our safari and gave us a nice fruit juice at checkin. Only small issue was that there are lots of bugs around (mostly outside).

Great value for money when visiting Yala
Pros:

I stayed here for the leopard safari in Yala like most visitors to Tissa. More like a guest house feel to the place than a hostel, the service was excellent all the staff went out of their way to make sure all my needs were met and were happy to have a beer with me and other guests even teaching us a to play Carrom. The safari was arranged for me on arrival and was an amazing experience. The biggest downside for me was average at best internet and it would have been nice to have had soap in the showers. Also I would say the breakfast was probably the best I have had in my time in Sri Lanka.
overall it was a pleasant stay where the positives out weighed the negatives - Great value for money and a convenient stay when visiting Yala national park.

Super cheap and super nice!
Pros:

Really nice people working there, they organized a great safari for us!!! Reccomend you do it through them. It’s obviously a bit buggy and hot but that is expected and not their fault! The grounds are really pretty and everything felt clean! Tissamaharama really has nothing going on except the safari so it was nice to stay at a place that had a nice green surrounding. Nice balcony. One of the guys that worked there took us on a drive around the lake the night we got there which was also AMAZING.
