Staff and cleaners were pleasant. Location excellent.
Room was ok.
1) The bar/socialising room was not in use.
2) Nowhere to have breakfast due to number 1.
We were not made aware of this when booking.
I was not happy being told there are plenty of places locally to have breakfast or meet up for drinks with my friends, who were also staying in the hotel.
After long journeys, all we wanted to do was chill out in the hotel.
3) Road/path works started at approximately 0600hrs Saturday morning which is unacceptable, and not permitted to start that time in the morning, especially on a weekend, except for emergency work.
4) My room was the executive room. There were no extras, like better coffee etc, apart from a fridge and separate toilet. I had to ask for a hairdryer as not one in the room.
5) Towels were so rough and had stains on them.
6) Chairs and furniture tatty and tired.
7) Stains on the carpet. Generally grubby all over.
8) Sheets were too small and didn't stay put.
As a whole, the room was not worth the £340 I paid, it was lacking too much for an executive room and I will be seeking a partial refund.
It's a shame because the hotel could be so much more with a bit of tlc and a lick of paint as the location is perfect.
Great location lovely hotel, our room was the perfect size and very clean, the receptionist was very helpful and polite. Would recommend.
There was nothing to not like.
Comfortable and very convenient for the station
Our room was on the ground floor right next to reception and we were woken up early by people checking out but this didn't disturb us too much. We still had a good stay.
Location, and reception staff Maria- she was friendly and helpful
Nothing
Easy to walk into town
There were roadworks outside our window which commenced at 6am on the Saturday morning. We weren’t given and prior notice of this
Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms.
N/A
Friendly staff, great location, walking distance from train station & into town.
If they offer you room 14 ask for another one. Stayed over a hot weekend, fan broken so given another which was very noisy. Tele didn’t work, sent up a lovely lady who fixed it. No curtain on one of bedroom windows. Funny smell in hallway. Best thing about hotel is location.
Location is perfect. Comfortable bed and large bathroom with excellent shower.
We stayed in room 2. The room needs blackout curtains as there’s street lights directly outside and even though it was 3am it was far too light for our liking.
Need English breakfast tea not just peppermint, camomile or Earl Gray please. Just as well that we brought our own!
Poor WiFi signal!
