Stayed 3 nights at the end of June for a family vacation. Overall impression is that it is over priced for what it is, but the only other decent-range option is the Indigo so one can understand why management would price it at this level.
I thought I would enjoy being out and away from the town but rain ruined that plan. It rained about 70% of the time and because we were so far away from town, it made everything much more difficult. For instance, you have to walk for about 2~3 minutes from the parking lot to the rooms, so with kids and a stroller, it's quite a trip walking up and down wet stairs.
Room was spacious and facilities were as expected, but dont expect anything in terms of service. Forget room-service. Not only is it heavily over-priced (was our most expensive meal in Shangri la), the only flavor I could taste was saltiness. Although the town is a 30 minute drive away, we decided the drive is worth it, even in the heavy rain. Breakfast was a bit better.
Conclusion: It's great to look at, but you are definitely over-paying for it. If it were half the current price, I would have given it a 4 star rating.
