The young guy on reception (I think he said his name was Nick) was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an initial mishap after we changed our booking via telephone to a studio room but it wasn't logged on system on the day. He still sorted us out a studio last minute for the same price. The room is fairly basic but it's what we expected for the price, and we were happy with this. It was clean, functional and beds comfortable. It's certainly cheaper than other places in the area and we only stayed one night for an event at Ally Pally. Perfect location for this. Also £10 parking for the whole day is really good value and beats anywhere else, very secure.
The lift working would have been ideal, just so that the receptionist didn't have to lug my case up the 4 flights of stairs!

Good clean room. Staff are friendly and accomodating, we got there 4 hours early only expecting to park the car and come back later to check in, they said we could have our room early and they didn't charge us early check-in.
Not really the hotel's fault but there were quite a few emergency services that came past through the night with sirens blasting and our room faced the road so sleep was broken.
Staff were lovely, very welcoming and knowledgeable about location and transport information which was extremely helpful!

i want to submit a complaint , my daughter at 19 and her friend checked in here for the post malone concert and when they checked in they were greeted with an angry member of staff who didnt speak english to them , given they are only 19 they felt uneasy and didn't feel comfortable staying there , they left after an hour and i had to get them another property nearby , as a mother in glasgow and having my daughter feel like this stuck down in london when checking into what i thought was a reputable accommodation is not acceptable , and i expect a refund and also expect you to take this up with the owners of the forest house hotel for future reference

De service. We hadden ons vergist in de inchecktijd en waren te vroeg, maar toch werd de kamer zsm in orde gebracht.
De ventilator werkt niet, de zitting van de stoel was niet goed en de bedden stonden op wielen, waardoor ze steeds verschoven als je erop wilde gaan zitten.

Es war sauber, einfach und per Bus leicht zum Ally Pally zu kommen.
Quasi null Ausstattung dafür aber sehr sauber.

The building was easy to find. The towels and bedding were clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable. We wouldn't however stay again.
The listing says this is a hotel with a 24 hr desk. I would not describe this building as a hotel, it doesn't have a reception in the true sense of the word, just a room on the right as you go in, and it's definitely not 24 hr. The room we were given doesn't match the picture on booking.com and the key fob said it was a 'flat'. You can't enter the building at all without a security fob unless someone physically comes and opens the door for you. The bath sealant had significant long term black mould in several places. There was evidence of previous guests such as hair in the bath and sink and a splodge of something in the fridge. There was a couple of feet of mains cable hanging out of the wall. There was very noticeable lime scale on the shower head and on most of the drainer. There were old foreign newspapers in a drawer in the kitchen area. The smell of pot wafted in through the window at night. The lift didn't work and the stairs and corridors were narrow. We were very disappointed having paid 150+ for one room for one night and whilst the guys on reception duty were friendly and helpful, we wouldn't stay here again.
