The hotel is easy walking distance from the train station and was very easy to find. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was excellent with a really comfortable bed and plenty of space. Everything was clean. Loved the breakfast with a simple buffet and seats both inside and outside. The outside terrace was a delightful place to sit and have coffee. Checking in and out was easy and the staff were really helpful with recommendations of things to see and do in the vicinity.

Wir hatten vermutlich ein Upgrade, aber das Zimmer im Nebengebäude war sehr groß, hell und wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut mit Produkten von hoher Qualität. Auf Anfrage kann man Mitgliedskarten für das Kunsthaus bekommen, die einem freien Eintritt ermöglichen.
Morgens etwas Lärm im Hinterhof. Direkt vor unserem Fenster parkte ein Auto.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Home Away From Home
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel St. Josef in Zurich. It truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was exceptionally clean, tidy, and very well maintained. The room was comfortable, and the furniture and amenities were thoughtfully arranged and very user-friendly.
What made our stay especially memorable was the warm and friendly staff. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The food was excellent as well, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
The location is fantastic—very convenient for exploring Zurich while still providing a comfortable and peaceful place to return to after a long day.
We felt so comfortable here that it really seemed like we were staying in another home rather than a hotel. Excellent cleanliness, wonderful hospitality, delicious food, and a great location. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Hotel St. Josef! May the Lord Jesus Christ bless the owners , staff and the guests abundantly with His grace.

Location was excellent and very quiet for city centre. Attractive building.
The room was only set up for one, despite the hotel knowing we were a couple. Our flight was delayed, I informed hotel of our late arrival. We arrived after midnight, the receptionist practically knocked me backwards off the stone step when he came to let us in and then we discovered the room had only one towel and one single duvet! After chasing towels, pillows and duvet, we had to then wrestle pillow cases on and duvet cover ourselves. We were singularly unimpressed.
Breakfast was uninspiring and basic - unless you like the self-serve semi-warm cooked stuff.
Very friendly & welcoming. As we had an early start on our last day and would miss breakfast we were kindly supplied with a lunch pack for our journey. Would highly recommend this hotel, great location near main station and not far from the old town.
The reception and staff upon our arrival were very welcoming.
