Matras in single room is absoluut niet meer geschikt
Pros:

De meerderheid van het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Enkel de verantwoordelijke aan de receptie was absoluut niet vriendelijk en enkel uit op zo veel mogelijk geld uit de zakken van haar gasten te kloppen

Cons:

Ik had de single room geboekt. Mooie kamer, maar de matras was een ramp. Zelfs zonder dat ik erop lag, zakte ze volledig door. Ik heb 1 nacht geprobeerd, maar heb geen oog dicht gedaan en tegen de ochtend serieus last van mijn rug. Toen ik vroeg of ze een stevigere matras hadden ging het kamermeisje dit checken. Ze gaf toe dat de matras wel heel zacht was. Geen andere matras beschikbaar enkel een dubbel kamer die ze normaal niet verhuren omdat de afzuiging van de keuken daar uitkomt. De matras was echter een stuk beter en aangezien ik nog 3 nachten moest blijven beslist om te veranderen. Pas volgende dag konden ze mij zeggen hoeveel dit extra zou kosten. De persoon aan de receptie wilde de volgende dag zelfs niet naar de matras kijken, maar moest wel 95 pond extra betalen voor een kamer die ze normaal niet verhuren en terwijl een degelijke matras toch het minste is dat je mag verwachten als je een kamer huurt.

Pros:

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The dining room was beautiful and the food was good. The hotel is situated a short walk from the railway station and the art gallery / museum. The town centre and sea front are also within walking distance.

Cons:

Our bedroom was small with little storage for cases. The shower floor was very slippy with no bath mat. When we asked if the hotel could provide a mat we were told they did not have any but the owner was aware of the problem. We bought a bath mat ourselves for our own safety.

Pros:

Hôtel qui côtoyait une zone en travaux, heureusement avec notre horaire d'arrivée et de départ nous n'avons pas été impactés. Cela aurait pu être très dommageable.... Nous avions choisi cette dernière étape de notre séjour en Ecosse pour la proximité de l'aéroport d'Edimbourg. Parking privé sur l'arrière de l'hôtel.
A notre arrivée un peu avant 20 h le restaurant/ pub sur place était déjà fermé...
Nous n'avons eu que peu de contact avec le personnel d'accueil , sauf pour notre règlement. Plus personne n'est sur place en soirée...
bon petit déjeuner cependant !

Cons:

absence de personnel dans l'hôtel le soir! pas de salle pour se retrouver et pour jouer à des jeux de société par exemple
tout est fermé ....un peu lugubre...

Pros:

Für 2 Nächte war es gut. Liegt in der Nähe des Bahnhofs.

Cons:

Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb. Es gibt Zimmer mit Blick auf die Dunstabzugshaube des Restaurants (sind laut). Das Frühstück war einfach.

i) need small exit sign arrows at each corner from bedroom since easy to go wrong way ii) shower needs separate water temperature tap lower down since otherwise forced to enter shower without pre-testing water temp

Pleasant hotel but be wary of booking hot rooms with frosted windows.
Pros:

Reception staff where friendly, good parking, room was nice enough, comfy bed.

Cons:

The window only opened a very small amount so not much air getting in and it was roasting, had big fan in room, however all that done was circulate the hot air already in the room, this meant it was very hard to get to sleep, the window is frosted so you cant see out which made the room feel very uncomfortable, the hotel should state this when booking that some rooms are like this as I would not have booked, couldn't change room as by the time I had finished working and went to settle down there was no staff on as they finish at 10pm, carpet was very grubby looking, but for priced paid, if I had been able to sleep I would have rated much higher, breakfast was average, poached eggs where more like boiled but still edible.
