Chira Glamping Resort Monteverde

Amazing location, nice and secluded in nature but not too far off from town. Staff was extremely friendly and couldn't have done more for you. Hot tub ready to go, free snacks and drinks

We were a family of 4 - two adults, a tween, and a teen. We loved the view, but also the privacy and space in our unit. It was so much better than we even imagined, which is good because they are quite expensive even by US standards. Breakfast was good and service was terrific everywhere. It was worth the splurge. We also loved the town of Santa Elena. Definitely eat at the Tree House. The food and service were incredible - the best we found in Costa Rica.

Beautiful and luxury property, breakfast was amazing and staff and service was exceptional. The views and sunset are worth staying for. Plan for weather and wind as you are in nature.

This place is amazing! Located in the middle of the forest and with a distant view to the city, this place is heaven. I was able to take beautiful wildlife pictures from the deck.

You are surrounded by nature but with all the comforts of a 5-star hotel. The dome is beautiful and comfortable, it has a fully equipped kitchen, fabulous bathroom and super comfortable outdoor hot tub and shower.

Breakfast is included and absolutely delicious!

Service is super friendly, and they will endeavor to accommodate your every need.

Just be careful not to leave food lying around as there is wildlife eagerly awaiting for a forgotten dish.

We were unfortunately disappointed with our stay at Chira Glamping. While it was advertised as a “glamping” experience, it felt more like staying in a boutique hotel with dome-shaped villas rather than being immersed in nature. The location is surrounded by other hotels and businesses, so it lacks the peaceful seclusion we were expecting.

The domes themselves are unique and visually interesting, but the overall experience didn’t live up to the promise. Our stay was disrupted by loud music from a party at a nearby hotel, constant dog barking, and frequent motorcycle traffic—definitely not the tranquil environment we had in mind.

Service also fell short. The concierge who checked us in was not particularly welcoming or informative. We weren't shown the room features (like the safe, which we only discovered under the bathroom sink on our last day), and she gave us the wrong time for a night tour we had scheduled through them.

The included breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was disappointing. On the plus side, the San Lucas Treetop Dining Experience was excellent—but you can book that without staying at Chira, and based on our experience, I’d recommend doing just that.

One final letdown: the outdoor shower, which started out beautifully, lost hot water within a few minutes. While staff responded quickly to reset the heater, we were told it would take 30 minutes to recover—not ideal when you’re mid-shower.

In summary, while Chira Glamping is a visually interesting property with potential, the noise, lackluster service, and missed expectations made it a stay we wouldn’t repeat.

We were welcomed with a beautiful smile and adult beverages at check in by the charismatic receptionist who also led us into our Glamping experience. The space left us wanting nothing. spacious, clean, very comfortable mattresses and perfect pillows, The view and the hot tub overlooking the city below were highlights. The kids loved the slide/climbing wall. The monkeys and coatis made 3:00p appearances in the trees. Room came with snacks, drinks, Netflix movies at night and a hot tub visit under the stars were fun night activities. Breakfast at Chira was perfect! Lots of fresh, handmade choices!!

Fantastic accomdation. Good to stay somewhere different and definitely brought the glam to the camping . Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great place to relax between wildlife walks with views as far as the Pacific.

Fantastic in all ways!!! Loved the pod, views!!! Outdoor glass shower, kitchen and beautiful full bathroom! Free snacks were a lovely touch! The san Lucas right adjacent to the hotel is an otherworldly experience at sunset! Will as bsolotly tell our friends!

Beautiful property, the right customer service. Everyone was kind and caring. Location can ve tricky to get to depending on the gps, take main roads. Amenities were also wonderful. Worth what you pay for
