Super Cheap, but OK
Pros:

Given the price expect the property to look a little bit run down, but you can see they are trying. Breakfast was a hard boiled egg, bread, banana, juice, coffee, and a sausage. No ac…but no hotels have it here. Rough area of town. Bed net. Some rooms no fan. Overall…solid for the price.

Pros:

Riverssands is good bc of great service by paul and Lillian at front desk. The included breakfast is nice, and the location is in downtown industrial area but adjacent to Victoria bakery and an excellent restaurant two doors down (try the african spiced tea).

Pros:

Near all amenities,staff are helpful.
I did not get the room I reserved but George gave me a different room which was even better than I expected.
I would recommend this hotel for its convenience and value for money.
Would stay there again.

Bad condition and bad area
Pros:

At first the area that the hotel is located in was not the best kisumu has to offer, it's the industrial part and everything is very run down. Even if the staff was helpful the fact that we needed to report that the window in our room lacked glass, the shower didn't work and the toilet didn't flush does not make it okay. These things were fixed as soon as reported but should never even need a notice. The room was clean and the staff help us get a to turist sites but overall i would not recommend someone staying here if you don't want a very cheap place to rest for one night.
