We loved the location, decor, atmosphere, food and staff. Lighting and room size not great.
Pros:

The breakfast was delicious!! And the staff was so friendly and helpful with everything.

Cons:

Our room was so dark. We definitely needed better lighting. The room was also very small, not a lot of space to set our belongings.

Pros:

The hotel is listed as a 5-star hotel, but I wouldn't say it lives up to that standard. On the positive side, the receptionist who welcomed us was very pleasant and helped us book a table at the restaurant. The entire staff was very welcoming. However, when it comes to the hotel itself, the minuses outweigh the pluses. The furniture in the bathroom wasn’t in good condition, although the view from the room was amazing as it overlooked the Douro River. As for the other minuses, we weren’t given enough complimentary water in the room, and the spa zone was the smallest I have ever seen. Furthermore, the location was far from the main attractions. Overall, I would give this hotel 4 stars."

A fabulous hotel with pool close to the city centre with great views!

Hotel met prachtig uitzicht en fantastisch ontbijt
Pros:

Wij vonden het ontbijt heerlijk en het personeel bij het ontbijt was ook super vriendelijk. We vonden sommige receptie personeelsleden met name een dame erg onvriendelijk.

Je hebt echt een prachtig uitzicht en een heerlijk zwembad en alles is erg schoon.

Cons:

Onze airco deed het de eerste paar dagen niet en toen we daarna vroegen werd er allereerst weinig gehoor aangegeven bij deze specifieke dame bij de receptie. Vervolgens ben ik naar iemand anders gegaan en die heeft er gelijk op geacteerd en het opgelost..

Het hotel moet wel je smaak zijn, want de kamers zijn zo extreem donker dat wij ons er niet prettig voelde.

If you are staying in Porto, this is the place to stay.
Pros:

Beautiful views, well appointed and large room. Service was great, breakfast was excellent and the spa and pool area were really good - wish we had taken more advantage of them. A quiet neighbourhood that is still close to all the action. We were going to stay in Flores but really glad we stayed here instead.

Cons:

Minor ones - the room was pretty dark - some more lighting around the bathroom area would be valuable and there was no toilet paper holder.
