A Five-Star Experience from Start to Finish

Our stay at the Avantgarde was exceptional. After reading so many glowing reviews before booking, our expectations were high—and the hotel exceeded them in every way. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and went above and beyond to ensure a seamless stay, including arranging tours and transfers with ease.

What truly stood out was the consistently outstanding service. Every team member we encountered—from the entrance staff and front desk to the bar and restaurant personnel—was friendly, engaging, professional, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality made us feel less like guests and more like we were at home. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend the Avantgarde to anyone visiting the area.

Sehr gute Lage, Terrasse mit tollem Blick, hübscher Essensbereich

Cons:

Zu teuer für den gebotenen Service und die Zimmer. Bad ist mini mit null Ablagefläche. Beim Spa war niemand um eine Massage zu buchen, daraufhin bei der Rezeption gefragt, die haben mich zum Spa geschickt. Kellner sehr nett, aber häufig etwas in der Order vergessen

Vue imprenable sur le Douro
Pros:

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel.
La suite 16 est particulièrement confortable, avec un jacuzzi très agréable et une superbe vue sur le Douro. Elle est également bien située, au calme, ce qui permet de se reposer pleinement.
Le personnel, que ce soit à l’accueil ou en étage, est accueillant, attentionné et professionnel. La communication mise en place avec le personnel de l'accueil via Wattsap pour toutes nos demandes (réservation taxi, restaurant, mise en route du jaccuzi...) est très appréciée.
Le restaurant Digby est agréable, notamment grâce à sa terrasse offrant une belle vue sur le Douro. Les plats sont bons, mais les portions restent assez petites.
Une belle expérience que je recommande.

Cons:

Le restaurant pour le petit-déjeuner ouvre à 7h30. Nous avons réservé 2 box la veille car nous avions une activité qui commençait tôt. Comme prévu, à 6h30, nous nous sommes présentés à l'accueil pour récupérer les box. Elles n'étaient pas prêtes. Ce qui est proposé est très moyen.

Hotel do instagram que promete e se faz caro, mas entrega pouco e mal.

Flower room is nice but you don's use thhat space your all stay

Ganz okay für einen Kurztrip

Die Lage ubd das Hotel an und für sich

Cons:

Die Beleuchtung im Zimmer war sehr schlecht, es war viel zu dunkel und auch im Badezimmer kaum Licht. Ein Stylen und Schminken war fast unmöglich, da wir gür eine Hochzeit dort einquartiert waren
