Hotel Orion Premiere

I booked a Deluxe Room and was disappointed to note that it was a angular shaped room ( not rectangle or square) which personally I do not like. I finally decided to take a lower category lower priced Executive Room (which thankfully was rectangular shaped) and no refund was of course given by the Hotel .......

Most disappointing aspect was the condition of Towels in Bathroom. The Towels were really bad - strained not well washed and even the replacements requested were in very poor conditions........

The Breakfast was also very mediocre, limited range, no live counter for egg preperations. Also, only 1 waiter was serving in the restaurant floor on both days , the service was slow......

The location of the Hotel is otherwise good. The quality of the Bed Linen (unlike towel) was Excellent and of premium fine cotton quality.

I had visited this Hotel more than 1 year back and at that time it was quite good, well maintained and had an efficient Reception staff too. Disappointed this time though.

Convenient location. Spacious room. Good shower,bathroom. However freaked out on finding a bedbug in the morning on the rollaway bed. Asked for a change of room but wasn't given. Stayed without an extra bed the second night. Uncomfortable stay overall.

My husband called the hotel to arrange a driver to pick us up when we arrived to GOI Airport. We had arrived here around 10 pm and were exhausted from the flights that we had taken to get there. Found our driver easily. He had a sign with our names. The drivers seem to make their own rates, didn’t seem the hotel set the rates. He charged us 1500 rupees. Make sure they don’t charge you more than that because the same driver tried to charge 1800 rupees for picking up my parents. The hotel check in was quick and easy. They brought us to our room with AC on and nice hot water for a shower with clean linens and towels.

The hotel is close to Miramar beach, which is just an average local beach, nothing too fancy. Its just a few minute walk to Vodafone where you can get sim cards for your phone. And also a few minute walk to a nice scenic pathway along the shoreline. From there you can grab a bus that will bring you to the bus station for only 8 rupees each. And then you can take a bus from the station to go to any of the beaches north of Panji (Candolim, Calangute, Baga) for only 60 rupees each. A cab will usually take you there for 700-800 rupees. So the bus is way more cost efficient.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. It was our honeymoon so my husband had asked the staff there if they could assist him with balloons and cakes and flowers. They went above and beyond with helping my husband preparing a romantic evening.

Overall, excellent!
