The Hideaway is a well preserved mid-century modern gem of a place for a quiet retreat.
Pros:

We love that it was a historic building. Great view of the mountains, Clientele was great and respectful. Loved the calm vibe of the property.

Cons:

We would have liked another couple of days, but that is on us, not the hotel!

For a low key stay, a quiet property.
Pros:

Exceptionally quiet and serene. Room was a good size. Staff was not on site, but available via text. Bed was comfortable. Free snacks were appreciated.

Cons:

Felt a lack of warmth. There’s no onsite staff and no onsite dining so it feels a little dead. The bathroom and especially the sink were very small. No parking. Wasn’t worth the price paid.

The too lively art of conversation
Pros:

Location was great. Pool was the perfect temperature. Turntable and Traffic album took me to a happy place. Very good communication with the staff

Cons:

The bathroom is tiny. 21 and older was more like 75 and older. We had two couples outside our window for two days. Wine, charcuterie, crudite and conversation at the table next to our door seemed to be a cost effective option to leaving the Hideaway.

Always our first choice in Palm Springs.

We are repeat guests who enjoy and appreciate everything about this hotel: size, spacious gated property, pool, location and retro decor.

Cons:

Nothing. It is always beautifully maintained without unnecessary upgrades to ruin its original mid-mod design.
