The design is old but well-maintained. The
ambiance and lighting are awesome, and I really liked the floors. Both the front desk
staff, housekeeping and the guards were accommodating, making us feel very welcome. The room also had a nice flooring, and the numerous hanging chandeliers were a big plus. Neither the hotel nor the swimming pool felt crowded.
Although the pool is small, it's quite nice and offers a view of Manila Bay and the ships.
However, we have a few observations that need to be addressed. First, I saw a large black rat in the buffet area, which was very alarming. I informed the kitchen personnel but she simply said they couldn't control it. Second, the front door was difficult to open and we were only provided with one key card. There were no shavers and shaving cream on the first day. My room lacked a refrigerator and had a broken cabinet door. The telephone was also faulty, interrupting my calls to housekeeping. Finally, our room did not have a good view. Despite these issues, it is generally still a good hotel to book.
Stayed here for 2 nights had i had a great stay at Rizal park hotel. Front desk receptionists are very accommodating and warm especially kurt and rushdee. Housekeeping also did a great job at cleaning my room. I will come back to stay here again
No internet or TV for most of my stay. Staff very friendly but not capable of assisting. Management clearly missing. Only 1 elevator works.
Terrible hotel. Poorly managed. Water was dripping from the ceiling in many places. It may have been a nice property in the 1970s, but is totally run down now due to lack of maintenance and care. Staff are oblivious to the situation. See my photos, which speak for themselves.
The restaurant does not belong to the hotel and you have to pay your bill separately there, can't charge to your room. The hotel has no bar or lounge where one could have a drink.
I had to check out two nights early due to a political rally that resulted in road closures in the area, and I would have been stuck at the hotel. Despite promises to refund the unused nights, after more than three months I have not received the refund. The hotel remains unresponsive. Stay away from this property.
Old World Charm located in the heart of the country. Clean, orderly, well apppinted rooms. Quiet. Far from the noise of the boulevard. Food is great.
I called this hotel multiple times to cancel my son’s reservation, but no one answered the phone, which is very disappointing, especially for guests calling from another country.
When I finally reached a clerk, I explained that my son, who is in the United States Navy, had a reservation from January 26–30, 2026. His ship was unexpectedly diverted to the Persian Gulf due to the Middle East crisis, so he asked me to contact the hotel on his behalf to cancel, reschedule, or request a refund, as he couldn’t do it while deployed at sea.
The clerk directed me to Agoda.com, where the booking was made. Agoda then instructed me to contact the hotel directly for a refund or reschedule. I called again, only to encounter the same issue—no one answered the front desk.
This has been extremely frustrating. I hope the hotel improves its responsiveness, especially for guests with urgent or special circumstances.
My wife and I have stayed here before. We love the location and the value for money was worth it. The Housekeepers were lovely, there was a particular gentleman who went out of his way to help us get a fridge and a safe, i feel bad because asked his name and I've forgotten it.The Front and gate securities were really helpful and friendly. Front desk were amazing, specially John. The Chinese Restaurants staff weren't as friendly though. The other restaurant staff opposite that though were actually amazing specially a boy I was speaking to.The gym and pool staff upstairs were exceptional. Rizal Park Hotel has a historical vibe. We really love the room and the ambiance. All in all We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends.
We had our wedding reception, preparations and pre-wedding video shoot here. All was streamlined and well-coordinated. The staff members especially with the banquet section have been very accommodating and sensitive of our vision and requests. Thank you for such a great experience! Kudos to Ms Adel and Ms Lorelie Joy for being hands-on always. 😊
Pool was not free for the whole stay even though lead to believe it would be.
Breakfast buffet was terrible and the most expensive in all the places we stayed.
Suspicious looking white stuff and dried edges on what I think was cold meat to replace bacon(no bacon in a place where Pork is served everywhere), burnt omelette, dried brown slices of apple was the only fruit offered in a country known for its variety and great taste of fruits, no juice, bad coffee with powered milk and no other option to this, weird dry canapes? instead of ingredient options to have with eggs, condiments lacking and traditional Philippine options didn't look great. Thin walls, could hear a concert for 2 whole days form park nearby, we had to leave the hotel or have earphones in to get some peace. Really disappointing experience.
Très bel immeuble et bien situé
L’immeuble n’est pas bien entretenu.
La piscine ne fonctionne pas et des marques d’inondations aux plafonds sont fréquentés. La nourriture n’est pas excellente alors que le cadre ancien l’est !
Ligging
Bier bijvoorbeeld.
First of all, the 1 star I gave is only for the hotel staff. They were polite, accommodating, and welcoming. That’s it.
My family and I booked a 2-night stay to celebrate New Year’s, mainly because the hotel is near Luneta and we expected to watch the fireworks. Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us well, which gave us a good first impression.
However, things went downhill once we headed to our room. The elevators were not working, so we were forced to use the fire exit stairs while carrying our luggage and with a child with us. We had no choice since we were already there.
The room itself was actually nice spacious and clean. What we liked most was the balcony with a mini garden facing Luneta, which made our New Year’s celebration enjoyable, especially during the fireworks.
Unfortunately, on New Year’s Day, we experienced another major disappointment. Around 9:00 AM, the room started to feel very hot, and we later found out that the air conditioning was turned off. Seriously? On top of that, we planned to go swimming, only to find out that the pool was closed.
So to sum it up:
No air conditioning
No pool
Broken elevators
There was simply nothing left for us to enjoy. Because of this, we decided to cancel our second night and check out early.
It’s really unfortunate because this could have been a 5-star experience if we hadn’t gone through all these issues.
tolle Lage
Centrico . Trato personal
Instalqciones antiguas. Piscina no operativa. Desayuno no adecuado a 5 estrellas
Beautiful architecture and the reception staff was friendly. They agreed to a late checkout as our flight was late night.
Terrible housekeeping, the aircon in the room didn’t work and the temperature was set to 30 degrees and we had to call the maintenance person to fix it at 2.30 am, only got fixed after 3 am in the night. The restaurant in the hotel is absolutely terrible service, the staff didn’t know basic things on the menu, kept coming back and saying things were not available. They gave us the bill before we were half way finished with our meal. Although the restaurant staff was friendly but wasn’t able to help with some basic information. Additionally, the pool was not functioning during our visit which was bit disappointing
Outside the hotel they had some strikes going on, so it was impossible to get cabs to the property. Consider long waiting times.
