Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District

We had a few interactions with Kate during our stay at the Marriott and each time, she delivered an above and beyond experience, all with a smile and great attitude! Thank you, Kate, we appreciate you and your servant attitude and heart!

My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay at the Marriott. Very clean, beautiful hotel. Great staff! In the afternoon we had happy hour cocktails and appetizers. Kate, our bartender, was so friendly, courteous and professional. She had great suggestions and made wonderful holiday cocktails! We will go back!

This was such a lovely visit. I have never had a bad experience at the Marriott in the capital district downtown.. this was however my first year without snow so that's frightening. The hotel is starting to show it's age though.

The valet crew, especially Talon, really made my stay. I was leaving in my rental car every day and they always had my vehicle ready for me in what felt like seconds! They are so incredibly attentive.

The only downside to this vacation is that the hotel does not have laundry and there are microwaves in the rooms. . It has literally everything else but laundry. The food you can order to your room was phenomenal but always too much, and not having a microwave to reheat it made it pointless to keep anything.

There was not enough tea restocked, but the cleaning ladies did a great job maintaining the room and always had fresh towels.

But the remotes for the TV ar clunky and don't always work. The lack of a microwave, the lack of a safe, the fan in the bedroom that buzzed when the heat came on, and the drapes that don't close all the way.

Small things start to add up. Despite the close proximity to the airport I may finally try to stay elsewhere in the future if they have more modern amenities.

Loved my stay. Nice spacious and clean. Central location.

I never expect 5-star service, but certainly know when an employee presents it, and happy to share experiences with others. Valet & Housekeeping presented 4-star service. Adequate, but not exceptional. Front Desk would be a 5, except for one overwhelmed Aiden (probably because there were several waiting in line) who did not represent the hotel well. A request for the shuttle to take us 2-blocks to the CHI center on a brutally cold evening due to a torn meniscus was denied because “the shuttle would be going in the opposite direction”. In the time it took the valet to retrieve our car, the empty shuttle could have taken us to the CHI. Poor decision, and poor delivery reflected the need for additional training.
The Front Desk team that greeted us on arrival were exceptional! And the brightest star, Kate who took care of us at the restaurant for breakfast on our final morning is the reason the entire team at the hotel deserves the highest accolades of 5-stars! She exceeded our expectations in every way. She has a calm, welcoming vibe. She was not intrusive at all, which can sometimes be an issue with accommodating service, she enhanced our experiences by simply being there. We will forever hold high regard for Omaha Marriott Downtown -Capitol District because of Kate and her exceptional service.

Fantastic customer service! Everybody at the hotel was extremely friendly and welcoming! When I arrived I had an issue with my room but it was quickly remedied and I was move rooms without question.

The restaurant staff is amazing! Ahdi and Kate provide first class service at breakfast time. This hotel truly feels like a proper full service Marriott experience. It was nothing short of perfect.

Standard Marriott—Pleasant staff and grounds.
Excellent location—walkable to performing arts, old market and Joselyn museum.
Good Wi-Fi. Decent shower. Good linens and comfortable linens.

Faith and her bartenders were great and prompt with a big Christmas party crowd and the Creighton/Kansas St crowd-will be here again!

Always a great stay at the hotel and the staff are always professional and attentive. Food is great too! Always look forward to staying here.

Kate was great at the Burdock and Bitters restaurant. Food was great and the service was quick. She checked up often and it was a good experience.

Omaha downtown. Came in for a night and decided to stop into the bar for some food and a drink. Collin was my bartender, and all I can say is WOW!! He is PERFECT for this position. He’s friendly, courteous, engaging and humorous. He checked in just enough and clearly knew exactly when to do so. This was by far the best experience I’ve had in a hotel bar for a very long time! The hotel is lovely, but Collin is the icing on the cake (oh the crème brûlée was dreamy too). Thanks for making my night Collin

Faith and her crew here (Burdock + Bitters) are absolutely top notch. I never fill these things out, but they do such a good job I had to share. I stay here every time I’m in Omaha. It’s a great hotel - rooms, food, service and comfort. Fantastic!!!
