Hidden gem of a hotel
Pros:

This is a genuinely great wee hotel. From the outside it’s not very inviting, and the elevator ride feels a bit horror-movie, but the bar area, staff and rooms are great! The location is also very convenient for walking around Munich.

Ok to stay but very misleading advertising
Pros:

I should preface this review with: staff was super friendly, bed linens and bathroom were perfectly clean. This was a totally ok, if basic, place to stay for a few nights.

HOWEVER -3 points for completely misleading photos of rooms, misleading advertising about amenities, and just generally bait-and-switch vibes. Definitely not a hip or "design" hotel HAHAHAHA! My room looked nothing like the photos, for one: old wall-to-wall shag carpeting (gross!!!), seriously beat up walls and desk, flickering lights, dark chipped paint on the walls. Also, the room contained almost none of the items that were specifically advertised in the room description: no coffee maker, no bluetooth speaker, etc. The in-room safe was non-functional. The breakfast was literally some plain croissants and two jars of jam, just a gimmick to be able to tick "breakfast included" on hotel search sites (in fairness: they are transparent about this if particular gimmick you bother to read).

A reasonable price for this room if it were advertised in a transparent way would be about half of what they charge. In a pinch go ahead and stay here, it's totally fine, but if you have a choice then avoid it out of principle. More honest businesses deserve your business.

Die Lage

Cons:

Aus dem Badezimmer kamen während des gesamten Aufenthaltes laute Klopfgeräusche, genauer gesagt so etwas wie ein permanentes lautes Gluckern aus der Toilette, so wie ein Wasserschlag. Sehr schwer zu glauben, dass das nicht bekannt war. Wir haben auf eine Reklamation verzichtet, das hätte nichts gebracht.

Zentral gelegenes modernes „jugendliches“ Hotel

Die Lage war sehr zentral.
Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter. Einer von uns war gestürzt und hat leider eine Stange im Bad aus der Mauer gerissen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und hatten auch nichts gesagt wegen der Stange, nur dass sich jemand darum kümmern wird.
Zimmer waren schön und gross
Näpfe für die Hunde gabs auch
Wir konnten bereits früher einchecken
Gepäck konnten wir nach Checkout noch den ganzen Tag im Hotel lassen

Cons:

Der Eingang sieht nicht sehr einladend aus.
Da wir eine Person mit Gehbinderung (teilweise Rollstuhl gebunden) dabei hatten, hatten wir nur in der Beschreibung nachgeschaut ob es einen Aufzug gibt. Jedoch gab es 4-5 Stufen im Eingangsbereich was nicht so top für uns war aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts. Wir hätten ja auch anrufen können und fragen.
Dusche/Badewanne war mit einem kleinen Duschkopf ausgestattet (Stange, nicht rund), was die Dusche jetzt nicht mega zum Highlight gemacht hat.
Fenster waren innen feucht/nass

Highly recommend The Flushing Meadows Hotel
Pros:

The location is fabulous, close to metro, restaurants and walking distance to many attractions. Rooms were clean. We did not have any noise issues. Bed was a bit hard for my liking, but my family was comfortable. Value for room was good. Staff was exceptional and very helpful. The bar was fun. The downsides - our room was on the dark side at night, better lighting around the bed would help. I like shelves in a shower, which was lacking, over the sink shelf in bathroom was good. Our sons room had a rain shower, which was really high up and they would have preferred it to be lower.
