Frühstück für diesen Preis absolute Katastrophe.
Loved the place, people place and location ace!
The only downside of a beautiful place - Breakfast table cloth not clean and unfortunately sat next to a window with dead bugs/flys on the window sill, I know this can happen but such a shame given the room was fab
Breakfast was a standard good breakfast. No scrambled eggs but that is purely preference.
Lovely meal the first night we got there, great price and freshly made at 8pm.
Extra kudos to the 2 gentleman working Friday 10th and the young lady working Saturday 11th AM for sorting our issues. Lovely and friendly.
Checked into our room, no tv remote, no signal on TV. Popped downstairs to reception, fully booked and no spare tv remote. TV ariel had been stolen from the back of the TV. Luke warm bath and my partner went to shower and the shower head wouldn't sit and kept falling down. Mould around the bath and plug.
Saved my the helpful people mentioned above who moved our rooms the next night and complimentary drink while waiting. They are a credit to a hotel that needs some love put into it.
Accessibility for my disabled Son who is in a wheelchair
Lot's of doors to negotiate to get to our room
It’s location, character and charm, it felt both exclusive and welcoming in equal measure
Nothing
The gardens
This hotel needs a complete revamp
No staff at the bar
Glasses left on tables all night
Blind was broken, marks on the wall
I would not stay in this hotel
Location very nice, for Loughborough university graduation. Gardens lovely, with outside sitting areas.
Rather run down, paint peeling from windows etc. Signs on windows instructing not to be opened, but stifling in room, with over 30 degree heat, and no ventilation. Opened windows anyway, to find all adjacent room windows were open too.
Only one bedside lamp for double bed. No tv in room. Room was spacious enough, but dated.
Location was great , and grounds were lovely !
Poor quality of rooms bathroom toilet did not flush in first room . I then got moved to a higher grade room which was nice . But sink tap was loose and about to break , no plug for sink as it was broken , windows only opened about an inch and room was stifling hot due to 35 degrees heatwave and no air con it was unbearable !! When I asked reception for a fab there were none available , I did finally get one for the 2nd night but it did not make much difference . There was no fan or extractor in the bathroom so all heat and condensation from shower went into the room as bathroom was a glass partition in room .
Staff were lovely but very inexperienced . Bar area was dirty we had to ask staff to clear tables or do them ourselves . Bar itself was more of a collection point for dirty glasses etc we even asked a member of staff to clear the area of dirty glasses!
The location, was beautiful and the Hotel too.
The atmosphere.
All good
Good location for Loughborough and the setting was very nice
The room was very hot (although it was 35C outside). The blind was broken Both rooms were not made up on the 2nd day.
Gardens
Property, rooms and bathrooms needs upgrading. And some areas need more regular cleaning
Beautiful outdoor area to eat at.
Rooms were nice and beds were very comfy.
The only slight issue was the weather being very hot and the towel rail being on very high and not being able to turn it off. Did not spoil our stay. We asked for a fan for our room
Heated Towel rail off in hot weather
Location
Quiet
Bathroom unclean
Sons room had no base sheet on his bed
Dining room for breakfast was covered in carpet moths flying around and a couple on our table
Room unbearably hot - needed fans in rooms
Rooms (standard double and twin ) and hotel very outdated needs renovating
