Sehr netter Host, super Lage, sehr sauber
A localização!
Small, basic room good for one night
No fridge, tea or coffee and small bed
Great location very clean
Nothing
Location, cleanliness and friendly host
Nothing
The owner has spent incredible effort to create something absolutely unique - in the house we stayed the entrance is full of specially craftmade wooden sculptures of Spanish and medieval characters, an oriental tea room, and the star of the property - a fully furnished and decorated medieval dining room. On top of that, we had to opportunity to have a homemade dinner with local food in that dining room, with medieval costumes that they provided for us, together with other guests. That experience was absolutley unique! The Mars and Venus bedroom where we stayed was also beautifully decorated (it looked exactly like the picture) and everything was clean. The location was excellent - right next to the cathedral and the lively shopping and restaurant areas. We walked everywhere, even the Sacromonte and Alhambra hills were only about 30-40 min walk. There is a public parking located about 5-10 min walking, which served us very well.
Can't think of anything. The medieval dinner was expensive for Spanish standards, but we thought it was worth the price because of the unique setting and costumes. We only wished we were informed about the dinner the night before and not on the same day, because we had a flamenco show booked the same evening, which we couldn't cancel anymore on such a short notice, and we lost the money for it (as we decided to go to the medieval dinner instead).
I booked Casa de Reyes based on the incredible medieval decor. Upon arrival, Manuel exhuted his passion for history. The dinning room, grand entry area, and the moorish rooms are an explosion of craftsmanship. Beautiful tile work, incredible hand carved wooden statues, moorish furniture, and the amazing dinning room chairs. Each carved with a different design and meaning in Manuel's life.
We had the incredible good fortune to stay on the day that a fabulous meal was specially prepared for us.
One special evening
Encarni, Manuel's lovely wife selected beautiful costumes for us to wear for dinner. Then, she led through each room taking great pictures amongst the beautiful surroundings. This night, partridge was on the menu. Lovingly prepared by Manuel's 81 or. old mother. This special dinner is only on Friday.
Don't miss it. The Alhambra is great, but this so memorable.
Didn't have enough time or speak Spanish well enough to learn more about Casa de Reyes.
