Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - Gering/Scottsbluff

I wish they could figure out how to keep doors from slamming. Everytime someone would enter/leave their room, the door would slam shut. Overall though, one of the best hotels in this area

I chose this hotel for location, it’s very walkable to the Main Street, so it’s business friendly.

However, it was one of the highest priced hotels in the area. I asked the receptionist if there was an event going on to make it higher priced, but I was one of three guests there, parking lot empty.

She gave me a room with a view of the wall & utility wires, pipes. I asked for another room & was given the room next to it with the view of an alley.

Finally I was given a room facing the street view, much better. Sad because the view of the nearby bluffs is beautiful & available at other hotels in the area.
The room was clean but of the quality of budget hotels.

Convenient location easy parking

One of the nicest, friendliest places we have ever stayed! Great and convenient location. Room was spacious and very clean. Front desk called our room about 30-45 minutes after we checked in to see how we were doing and to make sure everything was accommodating for our stay. This was the only hotel we stayed at that did this! Pool floor needs some repair, but nothing that prevented or disrupted a great swim for the kids. Breakfast was great and well stocked/maintained. Lounge area was open in the evenings for drinks. Lobby was adorably decorated for the season. Very inviting. Staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and inviting. Plan to specifically seek out Cobblestone for future travels!

Clean and comfy

This hotel appears to be cutting back in some areas. Breakfast is not what it was. No bacon or sausage, less selection of yogurts. They need to visit the local Holiday Inn to see a great breakfast. They also are not opening their bar at night and check-in staff seems young and inexperienced. I have stayed here close to 25 times and this was not the best visit. No bodywash in the shower. Container was empty.

Easy check in. The lady at the front desk was very hrlpful and kind. Breakfast was good. The pool was nice for kids and they provided pool towels. Room was clean and hotel was pretty quiet.

Room was clean and very spacious. Check in was quick and hassle free. Location is good for food and there is a grocery store across the street. Good breakfast in the morning. Would stay again.

Excellent property

Unfortunately there was more wrong than right with this place and I was so relieved to leave.

The lady at check-in was abrupt.

There were only two luggage trolleys and we had to run all over the property for 15 minutes to try to find one at check in time.

The tv remote was dusty and dirty, the bed ruffle had obvious milk splatter all across it, the clock was dusty, and the whole room smelled damp and musty.

The sheets and pillow cases are thread bare and the elastic on the fitted sheets is so old they they won’t stay on and popped off in the night (which wakes you up when your bed unmakes itself in the night). The duvet is worn thin and doesn’t keep you warm.

The view was so awful; alley view of the back of a derelict and abandoned building. Had it not been more depressing to close the curtain, we would have done so.

The back entry to the parking lot has huge potholes filled with muddy water and chewed up pavement, don’t use it.

The breakfast was the worst I’ve had in years, could not have gotten much cheaper as far as quality, healthiness or flavor.

The ice machine has been out long enough on the 3rd floor that they’ve attached a sign sending you downstairs.

The elevator badly needs a repairman and actually left several guests concerned that they would get stuck in it.

I could not wait to get out of here, it was way overpriced, and I will never book a hotel in this chain again.

Excellent stay after a long day driving! Front desk staff was very kind and recommended dining options for the evening. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Felt at home and safe.

We loved the Cobblestone Hotel. I traveled with my parents who needed a handicap accessible room and they were given a second floor room but right in front of the elevator which they appreciated. It had a great continental breakfast, spacious bedrooms, & comfy beds. I would stay here again if I ever needed to.

Great overnight stop off on the way from Rapid City to Denver airport. Clea, bug rooms and comfortable,
